Sri Lanka clinch Asia Cup 2022 title

Sri Lanka beat Pakistan by 23 runs in the Asia Cup final on 11 September.

• Pakistan captain Babar Azam won the toss and decided to bowl first. Batting first, Sri Lanka scored 170 runs for the loss of six wickets in 20 overs.

• In reply, Pakistan's team was all out for 147 runs in 20 overs, for Pakistan, Mohammad Rizwan scored 55 runs in 49 balls.

In the final Grand Slam of the year, US Open tennis, world number one Inga Swiatek of Poland has won the women's singles title.

• She defeated Tunisia's Ons Jabur 6-2, 7-6 in the final in New York.

• This is the 10th and third Grand Slam title of his career.

• It was the 142nd edition of the US Open Tennis 2022 and the fourth and final Tennis Grand Slam event of the year.
