FIFA Club World Cup to be held in UAE in February 2022


World Football’s Governing Body announced that the FIFA Club World Cup which was initially set to be held in December 2021 - January 2022 in Japan, will now be held in the United Arab Emirates in February 2022.


  • The Club World Cup will run from February 3-12, featuring seven teams One is the host club team and six are the  champions of the six continental confederations. 
  • It includes the champion clubs of 
  • AFC Champions League (Asia), 
  • CAF Champions League (Africa),
  • CONCACAF Champions League (North America),
  • Copa Libertadores (South America), 
  • OFC Champions League (Oceania)
  • and UEFA Champions League (Europe)

FIFA Club World Cup 

  • The first FIFA club world cup was held in 2000 in Brazil.
  • Real Madrid club of Spain has won a record 4 titles.
  • 2020 FIFA club world cup champion was Bayern Munich club  of Germany.

FIFA ( Fédération Internationale de Football Association ) was founded in 1904.
