AITA Honors Nar Singh and Rohini Lokhande with Lifetime Achievement Awards

The All India Tennis Association (AITA) has honored Delhi-based tennis coach Nar Singh with the prestigious Dilip Bose Award for Lifetime Achievement in Coaching. Nar Singh is the 11th recipient of this award.
An Overview of the News
AITA has introduced a new Lifetime Achievement Award for Women's Coaches.
The inaugural award for Women's Coaches was presented to Rohini Lokhande from Pune, Maharashtra, one of India's earliest women's coaches.
The awards were presented during the 11th National Coaches Workshop.
The workshop was held at the Poona Young Cricketers (PYC) Hindu Gymkhana in Pune, Maharashtra, on June 7th-8th, 2024.

Dilip Bose Lifetime Achievement Award:
The AITA established the Dilip Bose Lifetime Achievement Award in 2002 in tribute to Dilip Bose, a notable Indian tennis player.
The award includes a cash prize of Rs. 50,000.
Dilip Bose competed for India in the Davis Cup in 1947.
He clinched the Men's singles title at the first Asian Championships held in West Bengal in 1949.
Following his playing career, he served as an administrator and coach in tennis
