Bikram Keshari Arukh elected Speaker of Odisha Assembly

Bikram Keshari Arukh, a six-time MLA of the Biju Janata Dal (BJD), has been elected unopposed as the Speaker of the Odisha Legislative Assembly.
He has been elected as the 21st Speaker of the Odisha Legislative Assembly.
Arukha replaces 'SN Patro', who resigned from the post of Speaker of the Assembly due to health reasons.
MLA Bikram Keshari Arukha was earlier serving as the Chief Whip of the government.
Arukha is a continuous MLA from Bhanjnagar since the year 1995.
