AGNIVEER MATRIC RECRUITMENT 2022
The Indian Navy invited online applications from unmarried male and unmarried female candidates (who fulfil eligibility conditions as laid down by the Government of India) for enrolment as Agniveer (MR) for 01/2023 (May 23) batch. There are 100 vacancies overall (including a maximum of 20 females only).

ABOUT AGNIVEER MR JOB PROFILE
Agniveer (MR) - Chef
They will be required to prepare food as per the menu (vegetarian and non-vegetarian including handling of meat products), and account for ration. In addition, you will also be trained in firearms and will be allotted other duties for the efficient running of the organisation.Agniveer (MR) - Steward
They would be required to serve food in the Officers’ messes as waiters, housekeeping, accounting of funds, wine and stores, preparation of menu etc. In addition, you will also be trained in firearms and will be allotted other duties for the efficient running of the organisation.Agniveer (MR) - Hygienist
They will be required to maintain hygiene in washrooms and other areas. In addition, you will also be trained in firearms and will be allotted other duties for the efficient running of the organisation.
Candidates who are chosen will receive Basic Training at INS Chilka, followed by Professional Training in the assigned trade at various Naval Training Establishments. The branch/trade will be assigned based on the needs of the service.

KNOW THE ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA FOR AGNIVEER MR
Nationality
Candidate must be an Indian citizen to apply for the Agniveer MR post.
Educational Qualification
Candidate must have passed the Matriculation Examination from the Boards of School Education recognised by the Ministry of Education, Govt. of India.
Age Limit
The age for Agniveer (MR) candidates should be between 17½ to 21 years on the day of enrolment.

DURATION OF SERVICE
According to the Navy Act of 1957, the Agniveers must enlist in the Indian Navy for a duration of four years. Agniveers would form a distinct rank, different from any other existing rank and would be the junior most rank in the Indian Navy". Indian Navy is not obliged to retain the Agniveers beyond the engagement period of four years.
SELECTION PROCESS OF AGNIVEER MR 2022
Agniveer (MR) - 01/2023 batch will include three stages i.e. Shortlisting (computer-based online examination), 'Written Examination, PFT and Initial Medical' and Final Recruitment Medical Examination.
AGNIVEER MR EXAM PATTERN 2022
1. STAGE - I (INET - COMPUTER BASED ONLINE EXAMINATION)
(a) The question paper will be computer-based with a total of 50 questions, each carrying 01 mark.
(b) The question paper will be bilingual (Hindi & English) and objective type (multiple-choice).
(c) The question paper will comprise two sections i.e. 'Science & Mathematics and General Awareness.’
(d) The duration of the examination will be 30 minutes.
(e) The candidates are required to pass in all sections as well as in aggregate. The Indian Navy reserves the right to determine the pass marks in each Section and in aggregate.
Note:-Candidates should note that there will be a penalty (Negative Marking) for wrong answers given by a candidate. There are four alternatives for the answer to every question. For each question for which a wrong answer has been given by the candidate, one-fourth (0.25) of the marks assigned to that question will be deducted as a penalty.
2. STAGE - II (WRITTEN EXAMINATION, PFT AND INITIAL MEDICAL)
Candidates shortlisted in the INET examination (computer-based online examination) will be issued a call-up letter for Stage II (written examination, PFT & Initial Medical). Stage II will be conducted in the designated Indian Navy centres.
Physical Standards
Qualifying in Physical Fitness Test (PFT) is mandatory for selection. Candidates undergoing PFT will do so at their own risk. PFT standard is as follows:-

Initial Medical Examination.
An initial Medical Examination will be carried out for candidates who qualify the PFT. Candidates qualifying initial medical examination will be considered "Provisionally fit subject to fitness in the final medical examination".All chosen candidates will undergo a final recruitment medical examination at INS Chilka. Candidates who are deemed medically unfit during the initial medical will be notified that they have a maximum of 21 days to appeal the decision at an approved military hospital (designated by the Indian Navy). No more review or appeal is allowed.
3. STAGE - III (FINAL MEDICAL EXAMINATION)
All chosen candidates will undergo a final recruitment medical examination at INS Chilka. Candidates who pass the final recruitment medical examination and are deemed medically fit will be hired. Candidates who are deemed medically unfit will be given the opportunity to appeal the decision at INHS Nivarini or INHS Kalyani within a maximum of 21 days if they so want. No more review or appeal is allowed.
Medical Standard:-
Gender
Any candidate will be dismissed as UNFIT if an external physical examination reveals that they have features of the opposing gender that predominate. Any candidate who has undergone surgery for gender transformation will be deemed UNFIT.
Pregnancy
Any female candidate who is discovered to be pregnant will have her application rejected. A candidate shall not have given birth before the end of their four-year term or at the time of reporting. If discovered to be pregnant later during the four-year training or engagement period, appropriate measures for termination or removal will be performed.

AGNIVEER MR PAY AND ALLOWANCES
Pay, Allowances and Allied Benefits: Agniveers will be paid a package of ₹30,000 per month with a fixed yearly increment. In addition, risk and hardship, dress and travel allowances will be paid.
Seva Nidhi: Agniveers shall be given a one-time Seva Nidhi package comprising their monthly contribution along with a matching contribution by the Government on completion of their engagement period, as indicated below:-

Note:- There shall be no entitlement to gratuity and pensionary benefits.
Life Insurance Cover: Agniveer will be provided non-contributory Life Insurance Cover of Rs. 48 lakh for the duration of their engagement period.
Death Compensation: In addition to insurance cover of Rs. 48 Lakh, one-time ex-gratia of Rs. 44 Lakh for death attributable to service, will be provided to the NOK.
Disability Compensation: One-time ex-gratia of Rs. 44 / 25 / 15 Lakh based on % of disability (100 % / 75 % / 50 %) shall be applicable to Agniveers.
