CRPF ASI (STENO) & HC (M) EXAM 2022:

The Central Reserve Police Force has issued an official notification regarding the recruitment of the Assistant Sub Inspector (Steno) and Head Constable (Ministerial). Online applications for the same are invited from Male/Female Candidates who are ordinarily residents of India. Interested and eligible candidates can apply for the same by visiting the official website by 25th January 2023. 

Through this recruitment drive, 1458 vacant seats are going to be filled. The examination for the same is going to be held on 22-28 Feb 2023. Candidates can apply for only one post (multiple applications for more than one post will be liable to be rejected). Before applying for the examination, candidates are advised to read this article carefully, as we provide all the necessary details here that are required to know before applying for the examination.

CRPF ASI (STENO)/ HC (MIN) 2022 ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA:

Nationality

  1. A citizen of India, or 

  2. A subject of Nepal, or 

  3. A subject of Bhutan, or 

  4. A Tibetan refugee who came over to India, before the 1st January 1962, with the intention of permanently settling in India, or 

  5. A person of Indian origin who has migrated from Pakistan, Burma, Sri Lanka, East African countries of Kenya, Uganda, the United Republic of Tanzania (Formerly Tanganyika and, Zanzibar), Zambia, Malawi, Zaire, Ethiopia and Vietnam with the intention of permanently settling in India. 

  6. Provided that a candidate belonging to categories 2,3,4 & 5 above shall be a person in whose favour a certificate of eligibility has been issued by the Government of India. 

  7. A candidate in whose case a certificate of eligibility is necessary will be admitted to the Test but the offer of appointment will be given only after the necessary eligibility certificate has been issued to him by the Government of India. 

Age Limit

Candidates must be between the age of 18 to 25 years as on the closing date of receipt of application, i.e. 25/01/2023 i.e. candidate should not be born before 26/01/1998 or after 25/01/2005. Relaxation in age is also permissible for some special categories, the details for the same are tabulated below:-

Educational Qualification

Candidates must have passed the Intermediate (10+2) or equivalent exam from a board or university recognized by the Central or State Government. 

Note: Two or Three-year Diploma Certificate in technical education done after the 10th class is not equivalent to intermediate (10+2).

Candidates can fill out the online applications by visiting the official website of the CRPF by 25th January 2023. Those who are facing any trouble in filling out the online applications can follow the below-mentioned instructions:-

1. Visit the CRPF's official website by following the link provided above.

2. On the homepage, a link to apply for ASI (Steno) & HC (M) Exam-2022 will be prompted on your screen.

3. Click on the link and a new screen will appear where you have to click on Register now (If you've already registered, you can skip this step).

4. After registration, you have to fill out your details and upload the required documents in the required format. 

5. To complete the application procedure, pay the application fee and take a printout of the final submission.

SELECTION PROCESS OF CRPF ASI/ HC 2022:

The Examination will consist of a Computer Based Test, Skill Test, Physical Standard Test, Documents Verification and Detailed Medical Examination(DME). All these stages of the Examination are mandatory.

(a) Computer-Based Test 

  • The Computer Based Test will consist of one paper with 100 objective-type questions to be attempted in 1½  hours (90 Minutes). 

  • Sections B, C and D of the exam will be set as bilingual. 

  • Each right answer will be rewarded with 1 mark and 0.25 marks will be deducted for each wrong answer.

(b) Skill Test- Typing (HC/M)/Shorthand (ASI/Steno)

Only those candidates who qualify in CBT shall be called for next stage of recruitment i.e. Skil1 Test/PST/DV/DME which will be conducted at various Centres of the CRPF:-

Skill Test (On computer (For Assistant Sub Inspector (Steno)

Dictation: 10 minutes@80 words per minute. 

Transcription time- 50 minutes in English or 65 minutes in Hindi on the computer.

Skill Test (On computer) ( For Head Constable / Ministerial)

English Typing with a minimum speed of 35 words per minute on computer. 

OR 

Hindi Typing with a minimum speed of 30 words per minute on a computer. ( 35 words per minute in English and 30 words per minute in Hindi corresponding to 10500 key depressions per hour in English and 9000 key depressions per hour in Hindi with average of 5 key depressions for each word on computer)

Note:- Skill test (typing) will be conducted/done only on computers. The Recruitment Centers will provide computers & keyboards for the purpose. The mode/Procedure/ Method for conducting skill tests will be decided by the department. Skill test will be of qualifying nature and no marks will be awarded for the skill test.

(d) Document Verification 

When reporting to the recruitment centre, aspirants are recommended to bring original documents and self-attested photocopies of the same. The moment of  Document verification requires the physical verification of the documents listed below:-

  1. Aadhaar Card/Printout of E-Aadhaar, 

  2. Voter's ID Card, 

  3. PAN Card,
