A candidate must be either:
(a) a citizen of India, or
(b) a subject of Nepal, or
(c) a subject of Bhutan, or
(d) a Tibetan refugee who came over to India, before the 1st January,1962, with the intention of permanently settling in India, or
(e) a person of Indian origin who has migrated from Pakistan, Burma, Sri Lanka, East African countries of Kenya, Uganda, the United Republic of Tanzania (Formerly Tanganyika and Zanzibar), Zambia, Malawi, Zaire, Ethiopia and Vietnam with the intention of permanently settling in India.
Aspiring candidates for the SSC CPO 2023 examination must meet specific age criteria to be eligible for the recruitment process. The age limit for candidates applying for the Sub-Inspector (SI) posts in the Central Armed Police Forces (CAPF) and Delhi Police is set between 20 to 25 years. However, certain relaxations in age are available as per the government rules, which are outlined in the following table.

To be eligible for all the posts, candidates must have a Bachelor's degree from a recognized university or its equivalent. Those who have appeared in their Bachelor's degree or equivalent examination can also apply, but they must possess the essential qualification on or before the cutoff date, which is 15th August 2023.
Additional Requirement for Male Candidates applying for Sub Inspector in Delhi Police: Male candidates aspiring for the position of Sub Inspector in Delhi Police must possess a valid Driving License for LMV (Light Motor Vehicle) covering both Motorcycle and Car. This requirement is necessary on the date fixed for the Physical Endurance and Measurement Tests (PE&MT). If male candidates do not have a valid Driving License for LMV (Motorcycle and Car), they will be eligible for the post of Sub Inspector in CAPFs (Central Armed Police Forces) only.
Note for Departmental Candidates:Departmental candidates who are currently serving as Constables, Head Constables, and Assistant Sub-Inspectors in Delhi Police, and have a minimum of three years of service, are also eligible to apply. However, they should not be more than 30 years of age (33 years for OBC candidates and 35 years for SC/ST candidates). These departmental candidates can apply for filling up of both Open and Departmental Vacancies of Sub-Inspector (Executive) in Delhi Police-Male.

Step-by-Step Guide to Apply for SSC CPO 2023:
Go to the official website of the Staff Selection Commission (SSC).
On the homepage, locate and click on the Apply tab.
After clicking on the tab a new page will appear where you have to select SSC CPO Examination 2023.
Now, fill in the required details during the registration process.
After successful registration, you will receive your unique ID and Password on your registered email address.
Use your ID and Password to log in to the SSC portal.
Complete the application form by providing all the necessary details.
Ensure that you upload all required documents in the specified format and size to avoid any processing issues.
Pay the application fee according to your category through the available payment options.
Before final submission, review all the provided details and make any necessary corrections.
After successfully submitting the application, take a printout of the application form for future reference.

Fee can be paid only through online payment modes, namely BHIM UPI, Net Banking, or by using Visa, MasterCard, Maestro, or RuPay Credit or Debit card.
The SSC CPO 2023 examination will be conducted in four phases, each designed to assess candidates thoroughly for the selection process. Here are the details of each stage:
Stage 1: Paper 1 - Computer Based Test (CBT)
Stage 2: Physical Standard Test (PST) and Physical Efficiency Test (PET)
Stage 3: Paper 2 - Computer Based Test (CBT)
Stage 4: Detailed Medical Examination (DME)
The questions in Paper 1 will be of Objective Multiple Choice Type.
The questions in Paper 1 will be bilingual, i.e. available in both Hindi and English languages.
Each correct answer in Paper 1 will earn the candidate positive marks.
For each incorrect response marked by a candidate, 0.25 marks will be deducted from their total score.
