Portugal captain Cristiano Ronaldo became the first player to score in 5 different World Cups when he scored the first goal against Ghana in the FIFA World Cup on 24 November.
Important facts
In the first match of Group H, Portugal captain Ronaldo scored the first goal in the 65th minute, becoming the first male footballer to score in five different World Cups (2006, 2010, 2014, 2018, 2022).
With this record, Ronaldo has left behind Pele of Brazil, Uwe Seeler of Germany and Miraslov Klose who have scored goals in four World Cups.
37-year-old Cristiano Ronaldo has increased his international goal count to 118. He scored his eighth career World Cup goal in a 3–2 win against Ghana.

Fourth seeded Bhukya came from behind to beat Andhra Pradesh’s Akhil Reddy Boba 19-21, 21-12, 22-20 in 44 minutes whereas Patri took just 22 minutes to brush aside local challenger and 15th seeded Divyanshi Gautam 21-7, 21-10.
Earlier this month, Petrie won his maiden National U-13 ranking tournament in Maharashtra with a dominant performance against Agra's Gautam.

6. Former Indian football captain Babu Mani dies aged 59

Former Indian football captain Babu Mani, who was an integral part of the Indian football team in the 1980s, died after a prolonged battle with liver-related issues. He was 59.
Babu Mani made his India debut against Argentina in Kolkata during the 1984 Nehru Cup and went on to play 55 matches for the country. He was also a part of the first Indian squad to qualify for the Asian Football Confederation (AFC) Asian Cup in 1984 and went on to play in the tournament in Singapore.
Mani was also a member of the Indian team which won gold medals at the 1985 and 1987 editions of the South Asian Games.
Babu Mani, also part of the Bengal Team which won Santosh Trophy in 1986 and 1988.
He also played for and won various domestic football cups like Federation Cup, IFA shield, Durand Cup, Rovers Cup trophies for Kolkata's top three clubs, Mohammedan Sporting, Mohan Bagan and East Bengal.
7. Novak Djokovic wins his record 6th ATP finals title

The Serbian Novak Djokovic won his sixth ATP finals title at Turin, Italy by defeating the Norwegian player Casper Rudd in the finals played on 20 November 2022. The ATP finals marks the end of the ATP calendar for the year 2022.
With this win Djokovic equalled the record of Swiss great Roger Federer of 6th ATP finals titles. The 21Grand Slam title winner also became the oldest champion of the ATP finals at the age of 35 Years.

8. 22nd FIFA men’s football World cup kicks off in Qatar

The 22nd FIFA men’s world cup was formally declared open at a colourful ceremony held at the Al Bayt Stadium in Al Khor, Qatar on 20 November. It is for the first time that an Arab country is hosting the football tournament.
India was represented by Vice President Jagdeep Dhankhar. The opening ceremony witnessed performances of J Balvin, Robbie Williams, Jason Derulo, Clean Bandit, Sean Paul, Nora Fatehi, Black Eyed Peas, Jungkook of BTS, Nicki Minaj, Maluma and Myriam Fares.
The noted Hollywood actor Morgan Freeman was the narrator at the opening ceremony.
The FIFA World Cup 2022 will be held in Qatar from 20 November to 18 December 2022.
32 countries from five continents are participating in the Tournaments.
The teams are host Qatar, Ecuador, Senegal, the Netherlands, England, Iran, USA, Wales, Argentina, Saudi Arabia, Mexico, Poland, France, Australia, Denmark, Tunisia, Spain, Costa Rica, Germany, Japan, Belgium, Canada, Morocco, and Croatia, Brazil, Serbia, Switzerland, Cameroon, Portugal, Ghana, Uruguay, and South Korea.

9. Max Verstappen wins Abu Dhabi F1 Grand Prix for his team Red Bull

Reigning Formula One (F1) world champion Max Verstappen of Red Bull team won the season ending F1 Abu Dhabi race held on 20 November 2022 in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates. It was his record 15th title of the 2022 season. He also ended the 2022 season as the world F1 champion. He won his first F1 world championship title in 2021.
The 25 year old Max Verstappen of Holland created a number of records in the history of F1. Some of his records are as follows;
- He also holds the record for winning a maximum 15 races in a single season. He broke the previous record of 13 race victories in a season jointly held by seven-time world champion Michael Schumacher (2004 season) and four-time world champion Sebastian Vettel (2013 season).
- Verstappen also set a new record for scoring the most points in a single season - 454. Previously, the record was held by seven-time world champion Lewis Hamilton who had amassed 413 points during his championship-winning season in 2019.

10. Govt to set up 100 academies to promote archery amongst tribal children: Arjun Munda

The Union Minister for Tribal Affairs Arjun Munda has said the government has decided to set up 100 archery academies in the country to promote talent amongst tribal children.
While speaking at a function organised to give Janjatiya Gaurav Puraskar in New Delhi on 19 November 2022, he said that his Ministry is continuously working for enhancing educational and health facilities and also focusing on generating employment in the tribal areas.
Some of the famous tribal archers who have made India proud are Deepika Kumari, Limba ram
