AFCAT RECRUITMENT 2023
The Indian Air Force has invited online applications for AFCAT Entry and NCC special entry. The courses are commencing in January 2024 for the Short Service Commission (SSC) grant in Flying Branch and Ground Duty (Technical and Non-Technical) Branches. Candidates can apply for the 258 vacancies from December 1 to 30, 2022, by visiting the official website of the Indian Air Force.
Since the official detailed notice is yet to be published in the month of December 2022, by the IAF regarding the examination, we are providing the details of the examination on the basis of the previous notification except the application dates, vacancies, pay and allowances etc.

KNOW THE ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA FOR AFCAT
Nationality
Candidates must be an Indian citizen to apply for these entries.
Age Limit
(a) For a Flying Branch: 20 to 24 years as on 01 January 2024 i.e. born between 02 January 2000 to 01 January 2004 (both dates inclusive). The upper age limit for candidates holding valid and current Commercial Pilot License issued by DGCA (India) is relaxable upto 26 year i.e. born between 02 January 1998 to 01 January 2004 (both dates inclusive).
(b) For Ground Duty (Technical/ Non-Technical) Branches: 20 to 26 years as on 01 January 2024 i.e. born between 02 January 1998 to 01 January 2004 both dates Inclusive).
Educational Qualification
(i) Flying Branch: Candidates should have mandatorily passed with a minimum of 50% marks each in Maths and Physics at 10+2 level and
(a) Graduation with a minimum three years degree course in any discipline from a recognized University in India with a minimum of 60% marks or equivalent.
OR
(b) B.E./B.Tech. degree (Four years course) from a recognised University in India with a minimum of 60% marks or equivalent.
OR
(c) Candidates who have cleared Section A & B examination of Associate Membership of Institution of Engineers (India) or Aeronautical Society of India from a recognised University with a minimum of 60% marks or equivalent.
(ii) Ground Duty (Technical) Branch:
(a) Aeronautical Engineer (Electronics) AE (L). Candidates with a minimum of 50% marks each in Physics and Mathematics at 10+2 level and a minimum of four years degree graduation/integrated post-graduation qualification in Engineering/ Technology from a recognized University OR cleared Sections A and B examination of Associate Membership of Institution of Engineers (India) or Aeronautical Society of India or Graduate membership examination of the Institution of Electronics and Telecommunication Engineers by actual studies with a minimum of 60% marks or equivalent in the following disciplines:-

Note:- On successful completion of ab-initio and specialist system training, the Engineering officers shall be awarded M Tech (Aeronautical Engineering) with specialization in sub-disciplines by Visvesvaraya Technological University, Belgavi Karnataka.
(b) Aeronautical Engineer (Mechanical) {AE (M)}. Candidates with a minimum of 50% marks each in Physics and Mathematics at 10+2 level followed by a minimum of four years degree graduation/integrated post-graduation qualification in Engineering/Technology from recognised University or cleared Sections A & B examination of Associate Membership of Institution of Engineers (India) or Aeronautical Society of India by actual studies with a minimum of 60% marks or equivalent in the following disciplines:-

(b) Accounts Branch. Passed 10+2 and done graduation in any of the following streams with 60 % marks or equivalent from a recognized university:-
(aaa) B. Com Degree (Min three years course).
(aab) Bachelor of Business Administration (with specialization in Finance)/
Bachelor of Management Studies (with specialization in Finance)/ Bachelor of Business Studies (with specialization in Finance)
(aac) Qualified CA/ CMA/ CS/ CFA.
(aad) B.Sc. with specialization in Finance.
Marital Status
Candidates must be unmarried at the time of commencement of the course and marriage is not permitted during training. A candidate who marries during the period of training shall be discharged and will be liable to refund all expenditures incurred on him/ her by the Government.

Now you can select "NOT YET REGISTERED? REGISTER HERE options. Register yourself with your credentials and your login credentials i.e, your ID and password will be sent to your registered email ID.
Sign in using the ID and the password that the system generated after a successful registration.(candidates must remember their login ID and password for future use during the examination process).
Now choose one option between "AFCAT" and "NCC SPECIAL ENTRY FOR FLYING BRANCH" and select "INSTRUCTIONS." Read the instructions clearly.
Afterwards, select "FILLING OUT APPLICATION FORM" and fill out the details along with that upload documents in the needed size.
Now submit the application fee to complete the application process.

SELECTION PROCESS OF AFCAT 2023

INDIAN AIRFORCE AFCAT SYLLABUS
English: Comprehension, Error Detection, Sentence Completion/ Filling in of correct word, Synonyms, Antonyms and Testing of Vocabulary, Idioms and Phrases.
General Awareness.: History, Geography, Civics, Politics, Current Affairs, Environment, Basic Science, Defence, Art, Culture, Sports, etc.
Numerical Ability: Decimal Fraction, Time and Work, Average, Profit & Loss, Percentage, Ratio & Proportion and Simple Interest, Time & Distance (Trains/Boats & Streams).
Reasoning and Military Aptitude Test.:Verbal Skills and Spatial Ability. The standard of Numerical Ability Questions will be of Matriculation level. The standard of questions in other subjects will be of graduation level (Indian University).

Allowances
In addition to the pay allowances are applicable based on the nature of duty/ place of posting and it includes flying, Transport, Technical, Field Area, Special Compensatory (Hill Area), Special Force, Siachen, Island Special Duty, Test Pilot & Flight Test Engineer, Area and Remote Locality Allowance, etc.
Insurance
Rs. 1.10 Crore Insurance cover (on contribution) is applicable to serving officers. An additional cover of Rs. 15 Lakhs (on contribution) is applicable to Flying Branch Officers.
