IOCL OVERVIEW

Indian Oil Corporation Limited (IOCL) had conducted the Apprenticeship Examination 2022 for Northern Region on 6th February 2022 and for Southern Region on 12th February 2022.

The Indian Oil Corporation Limited (IOCL) had released the notification to recruit 626 eligible candidates for Trade Apprentice positions at various Northern Regions. The online registration for the same was commenced on 17th January 2022 and the last date to apply was 31st January 2022. Earlier 570 vacancies were released for the IOCL Apprentice Recruitment for Western Regions, for which the candidates had applied till 15th February 2022 and for 300 vacancies for Southern region till 27th December 2021.

NOTE:

  • The above-mentioned qualification for all the posts shall be from a recognized University/Institute as a full-time regular course in relevant disciplines.

  • Candidates who have acquired Qualification through Part-time / Correspondence / Distance Learning mode shall be considered ineligible.

  • Candidates who have done a Diploma under the recognized lateral entry scheme (Class XII/ITI) admitted in the second year of the Diploma course shall also be considered. 

  • The candidates who are pursuing Apprenticeship Training in an Industry as per the Apprenticeship Act, 1961/1973/1992 as amended from time to time or have undergone Apprenticeship earlier or have job experience of 1 year or more are NOT eligible.

Age Limit: 

The age limit (as on 31.12.2021) for the candidates belonging to the General and EWS Categories is between 18 years and 24 years. The relaxation of the upper age limit to SCs/STs/OBCs (NCL)/PWD candidates as per Govt. guidelines is given below:

IOCL SELECTION PROCESS

The candidates for the apprenticeship will be selected by the IOCL on the basis of Written Test.

After clearing the written test the selection process will be completed after Document Verification of the candidate.

SALARY

The stipend payable to the selected candidates for the apprentices per month shall be as prescribed under Apprentices Act, 1961/1973/Apprentices Rules 1992 and as amended from time to time and also according to the Corporations Guidelines.

RESULT

The Result for the Apprenticeship in the form of the category-wise Merit List of the shortlisted candidates will be released soon by the IOCL on their official website. The selected candidates will have to go through the document verification process, failing which their candidature may be cancelled.  As soon as the link there is activated, we will update it here too
