BSF CONSTABLE (TRADESMAN) RECRUITMENT 2023

The Border Security Force (BSF) has released the Constable (Tradesman) (Male & Female) Notification 2023 on its official website. Eligible male and female candidates can apply online from February 26 to March 27 (till 23:59), 2023. Through this recruitment drive, BSF aims to fill 1284 Tradesman Posts including 1220 vacancies for Male candidates and 64 vacancies for female candidates. ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA FOR BSF CONSTABLE (TRADESMAN) 2023

(a) Nationality:

Candidate must be an Indian Citizen.

Note: A candidate has to apply against vacancies allocated to his/her home/domiciled State only.

(b) Age Limits:

Candidate must be between 18 to 25 years as on last date of online application, i.e. March 27, 2023. According to the instructions issued by the Central Government from time to time, the upper age limit for candidates for SC/ ST/ OBC and other special categories of personnel is given in the table below.

(c) Educational Qualification:

For trades of Constable (Cobbler), Constable (Tailor), Constable (Washerman), Constable (Barber) and Constable (Sweeper) 

(a) Matriculation or equivalent from a recognized Board; 

(b) Must be proficient in respective trade;

(c) Must qualify trade test in the respective trade conducted by recruitment board.

For the trades of Constable (Cook), Constable (Water Carrier) and Constable (Waiter) : 

(a) Matriculation or equivalent from a recognized Board;

(b) National Skills Qualifications Framework (NSQF) level-I Course in food production or Kitchen from National Skill Development Corporation or from the Institutes recognized by National Skill Development Corporation.

Note:- 

(i)Multi-skilled candidates will be given preference.

(ii) Educational certificate other than State Board/Central Board should be accompanied with Government of India notifications declaring that such qualification is equivalent to Matric /10th class pass for service under Central Government

BSF CONSTABLE (TRADESMAN) 2023 APPLICATION PROCESS

To apply for the BSF Tradesman Recruitment 2023, follow these steps.

  • First and foremost, ensure that you are eligible for the BSF Tradesman Recruitment above from the eligibility criteria given above.

  • Visit the BSF's official recruitment website.

  • Under the current openings section, click on the Apply Online Link next to the "Constable (Tradesman) Exam 2023 in Border Security Force" advertisement.

  • Fill out the application form completely and upload all necessary documents.

  • Submit the form after paying the application fees.

  • Make a copy of the completed Application Form for future reference.

Note:

Candidate can apply for only one post/trade.

Application Fees

  • Candidates from the Unreserved (UR), EWS, or OBC categories must deposit Rs. 100/- (One Hundred).

  • Women candidates and candidates belonging to Scheduled Caste, Scheduled Tribes, BSF serving personnel and Ex-Servicemen are exempted from payment of examination fee.

However, Common Service Centre (CSC) charges Rs.47.20 in service fees via the following payment methods: internet banking/credit/debit card/Nearest authorized Common Service Centre

BSF CONSTABLE (TRADESMAN) 2023 MODE OF SELECTION

The BSF Tradesman selection process is divided into two phases, the details of which are provided below:

Phase-I

Written Examination: Candidates whose online application forms are found to be in order will be called to appear in Written Examination.

Phase-II

(a) Physical Standard Test (PST) and Physical Efficiency Test (PET)

(b) Document Verification

(c) Trade Test

(d) Detailed Medical Examination

(e) Review Medical Examination

BSF CONSTABLE (TRADESMAN) 2023 EXAM PATTERN

Phase-I: Written Examination

  • The written exam will be of 100 marks and will consist of CBT (Computer Based Test) or OMR based objective type multiple choice questions.

  • The paper will contain 100 questions carrying 100 marks with the following composition:-

  • Qualifying marks for UR Category/EWS & ExServicemen is 35%, and

  • For SC/ST/OBC candidates is 33%

Phase-II

(a) PST & PET

Candidates who are shortlisted on the basis of the written examination will be called for the PST and PET examinations. At the very beginning candidates will be asked to go through the height bar and thereby, candidates with lesser height will get eliminated and will not be allowed to participate in further process of recruitment.

Candidates who pass the height test will be subjected to a Physical Efficiency Test (PET), which will be as follows:

The pay scale for a BSF Tradesman will be Rs.21,700-69,100/- under tht pay Matrix Level-3, of 7th CPC (Revised Pay Structure) along with the other allowances as admissible to Central Govt. employees from time to time.
