The Staff Selection Commission has activated the application link for the post of Scientific Assistant on the 30th of September 2022 on its official website. The examination for the same is going to be conducted in the month of December 2022. Through this recruitment drive, approx 990 vacancies are going to be filled. APPLICATION PROCESS FOR SSC SCIENTIFIC ASSISTANT 2022

  1. First, go to the official website, www.ssc.nic.in, to submit an online application for an IMD position as a scientific assistant.

  2. Select the Apply tab.

  3. When the application form appears, carefully fill it out with no spelling mistakes. Upload the required documents in the formats specified on the form.

  4. Before submitting the form, thoroughly review it and double-check the details. Now, press the Submit button.

  5. Proceed to the Payment tab and complete your registration by making a payment. Print the application form and fee receipt for reference.

  6. est will be granted, now download your final submission for future reference.

SSC SCIENTIFIC ASSISTANT ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA 2022

1. Nationality 

A candidate must be either: 

  • a citizen of India, or 

  • a subject of Nepal, or 

  • a subject of Bhutan, or

  • a Tibetan refugee who came over to India, before the 1st January 1962 with the intention of permanently settling in India, or 

  • a person of Indian origin who has migrated from Pakistan, Burma, Sri Lanka, East African Countries of Kenya, Uganda, the United Republic of Tanzania (Formerly Tanganyika and Zanzibar), Zambia, Malawi, Zaire, Ethiopia and Vietnam with the intention of permanently settling in India.

2. Age Limit

Candidates must not exceed 30 years as on 18-10-2022. The candidate must have been born not earlier than 19-10-1992 and not later than 17-10-2004. The age relaxation for the special categories also applies according to the government rules. For making a clear understanding of age relaxation, check the below-mentioned table:-

3. Essential Qualification

Candidates must have a Bachelor’s Degree in Science (with Physics as one of the subjects)/Computer Science/Information Technology/Computer Applications. 

OR 

Candidates have a Diploma in Electronics and Telecommunication Engineering from a recognized Institution/University or equivalent. .

SSC SCIENTIFIC ASSISTANT 2022 SELECTION PROCESS

The selection for the post of SSC Scientific Assistant will be done on the basis of CBT and DV rounds.

1) Computer-Based Test (CBT) 

The CBT will consists of 2 papers in which paper-1 is similar for all and paper-2 will be subject specific. To know the detailed format and instructions about CBT, check exam pattern,

2) Document Verification (DV)

The IMD would conduct Document Verification (DV). Candidates will be able to obtain their Admission Certificates for DV from IMD online. Therefore, candidates are advised to often examine IMD's websites. Additionally, a notice about the DV will be posted on the Commission's website. All of the candidates who have been shortlisted for document verification must appear for Document Verification along with the photocopies and original documents. 

SSC SCIENTIFIC ASSISTANT EXAM PATTERN 2022

  • The Commission will conduct a two-hour computer-based test.

  • Total of 200 questions will be asked in the examination for 200 marks.

  • Each right answer will be rewarded as 1 mark and there will be a negative marking of 0.25 marks for each wrong answer in the examination.

  • The candidates will be required to attempt both Part-I and Part-II of the examination. Part II of the examination will be on the basis of the subject opted in the online application form. 

  • The examination will consist of Objective Type, Multiple choice questions only. The questions will be set both in English & Hindi languages except for questions on English Language & comprehension.

The Syllabus for General Intelligence would include questions of both verbal and non-verbal type. The test may include questions on analogies, similarities, differences, space visualization, problem-solving, analysis, judgement, decision making, visual memory, discrimination, observation, relationship concepts, arithmetical reasoning, verbal and figure classification, arithmetical number series etc. The test will also include questions designed to test the candidate’s abilities to deal with abstract ideas and symbols and their relationships, arithmetical computations and other analytical functions.
