ABOUT JOB:

There are 137 Army Public Schools across India and all are following the NCERT curriculum and affiliated with CBSE. The basic salary in AWES Army Public School is as per the 7th Pay Commission for the posts of Post Graduate Teacher, Trained Graduate Teacher and Primary Teacher. This Means Post Graduate teachers will get Rs. 9300/- to Rs. 34800/- + Rs 4800/- Grade Pay, Trained Graduate Teachers will get Rs. 9300/- to Rs. 34800/- + Rs 4600/- Grade Pay and Primary Teachers will get Rs. 9300/- to Rs. 34800/- + Rs 4200/- Grade Pay. Along with the salary, other benefits are also provided to them like Travel benefits, paid holidays, medical benefits and many more.

GENERAL INSTRUCTIONS:

  • Army Welfare Education Society (AWES) has released an advertisement in the year 2022 to recruit teachers for about 8700 vacancies of TGT, PGT and PRT on its official website Click Here. If you want to know more details about exam pattern, syllabus structure, recruitment process etc then read this complete article till the end. By reading this article completely, students, you will know everything regarding this exam. As most of you may be aware of the fact that once you fill in any incorrect information in the form it may lead to the cancellation of your candidature without refund of the exam fee even if you have qualified for the exam. So, please check everything properly before filling it.

  • The online application for the examination was started on 7th January and the last for filling the form and making the online payment is 28th January 2022. It is a computer-based test for which the exam dates have already been mentioned in the notification.  The aforesaid examination will be conducted between 19 and 20 February 2020. These dates are tentative and subject to change according to the current pandemic situation. Along with that, the number of vacancies is also tentative and they may increase or decrease.

STEPS TO FILL THE FORM :

  2. Have a valid mobile number and operative personal email ID.

  3. Fill the online application carefully and submit the same. Login Id and Password would be generated on successful submission of application and will be sent to the registered mobile number and e-mail address of the candidate.   4. While entering the required information in Online form, you will be required to upload the following documents:

SELECTION PROCEDURE :

The teachers will be required to go through the three stages mentioned below to get finally selected:

Stage 1 -Screening Exam

Stage 2 -Interview. 

Stage 3 -Evaluation of Teaching Skills and Computer Proficiency.

Stage 1 -Screening Exam: 

  • Those who qualify in this stage will be given a Score Card which shall be valid for some time duration provided the candidate picks up a teaching job within three years from the date of passing the screening exam in any CBSE affiliated school for a continuous duration of at least one year.

  • After getting a score card a candidate will be eligible to appear for the remaining stages of the selection process.

  • Holders of score card who want to improve their scores and candidates holding score card of TGT may now want to obtain a score card for PGT, having acquired additional qualifications may also appear for the screening test

Stage 2: Interview.

Respective schools shall announce the vacancies available through various means like Local Newspapers, the School Website, Notice board etc. Candidates would be required to apply in response to those announcements made by the schools. 

Stage 3: Evaluation of Teaching Skills and Computer Proficiency. 

  • Language teachers have to appear in the written test comprising Essay & Comprehension of 15 marks each, along with evaluation of teaching skills.

  • Their Computer proficiency test can also be conducted. It completely depends on the Selection Committee.

  • Authorities conducting the Interview may carry out additional screening of candidates if the number of candidates is large and administratively unmanageable.

  • Key Points :

  • Scores will be normalized to 100.

  • There will be a 1/4 mark negative marking for each wrong answer.

  • CTET/TET is not mandatory for appearing in the Online Screening Test.

  • CTET/TET is mandatory for appointments as TGTs/PRTs.

  • Those not qualified in CTET/TET but found fit in all other respects may be considered for appointment on vacancies which may be Ad Hoc in nature till attainment of qualification.

  • Tests will be conducted ON-LINE in the MCQ format. The questions will be randomly generated from a subject-specific question bank.

  • PGT/TGT candidates who fail in Part B but pass Part A may opt to take their scorecard for PRT subject to meeting other qualifications.

  • Part A & B will be available together and the candidates will have the freedom to answer questions in the order that they prefer.

  • The candidate must score a minimum of 50 % marks in each part to get qualified.
