BSF GROUP C CONSTABLE OVERVIEW

Border security Force (BSF) has released a notification on its official website Click Here to recruit 72 Group C Constable, Head Constable ASI in BSF.  Eligible candidates can apply for Border security Force 2021 from 15 November 2021 to 29 December 2021. Important Dates

How To Apply

Candidates can apply online for the examination, in case they are facing any trouble while filling the application form, they can follow these steps:

1. Visit the official website of the Corporation which is i.e. Click Here

2. Click the “Recruitment” section.

3. Now, select the post which you want to apply for the examination.

4. Now, register yourself with required details.

5. Login with your Id and password which were sent to your email address after the registration.

6. Enter your details carefully and click to proceed.

7. Upload your required documents in required format and size.

8. Pay your application fee according to your category.

9. Download your application form after the final submission and take print out.

10.  Persons serving in Govt/Semi Govt department should apply after obtaining NOC. No Objection Certificate(NOC) from their employer will be required with the application form.

ADMIT CARD OR HALL TICKET:

Before the examination, your admit card will be updated on the official website of the BSF. Some steps are given below which will  help you download your admit card.

1. Go to the official website i.e. Click Here 

2. Now, click on the exam admit card button.

3. Now, enter your registration details such as your registration ID or password.

4. Your admit card appears on the screen.

5. Now, download your admit card and take the printout of the same for the further process.

(Note: Your admit card or hall ticket is the most important document for your examination in which all required details such as your name, date of birth, photo, registration details, name of your centre, date of your examination and reporting time of your examination are also mentioned.)

BSF GROUP C CONSTABLE ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA

The Eligibility criteria are set by the board and candidates must meet them to become eligible for the post. The details are given below for the reference of the candidate — 

Education Qualification 

BSF GROUP C CONSTABLE EXAM PATTERN

Examination pattern for the BSF Group C Constable, Head Constable and ASI Recruitment is given below:

(a) WRITTEN EXAMINATION FOR THE POST OF ASSISTANT SUB-INSPECTOR (DRAFTSMAN) Grade-III)

(b) WRITTEN EXAMINATION FOR THE POST OF HEAD CONSTABLE (CARPENTER), HEAD CONSTABLE (PLUMBER), CONSTABLE (SEWERMAN), CONSTABLE (GENERATOR OPERATOR), CONSTABLE (GENERATOR MECHANIC ) AND CONSTABLE (LINEMAN)

Note:

The standards of technical subject shall be of “Industrial Training Institute (ITI) certificate level of the respective trade”.

QUALIFYING MARKS OF WRITTEN EXAM

(i)  For General/EWS/OBC category candidates - 45%

(ii)  For SC/ST category candidates - 40%

BSF GROUP C CONSTABLE SYLLABUS

Physical Standard Test (PST)

Below mentioned are the required physical standards for the post of Group C Constable, Head Constable ASI in BSF. Go through the table carefully 

(i) For the post of Assistant Sub-Inspector (Draftsman Grade-III)

(ii) For the post of Head Constable (Carpenter), Head Constable (Plumber) and Constable (Sewerman) :-

(iii) For the post of Constable (Generator Operator), Constable (Generator Mechanic) and Constable (Lineman) :- 

Note :

• Female Candidates should at least weigh 46 kg.

• Male Candidates should have a minimum of 5 cm of chest expansion.

Physical Efficiency Test (PET):

Candidates who clear the Physical Standard Test (PST) will be called for the Physical Efficiency Test (PET). Candidates have to cover a certain distance in a specific time period, details of which are mentioned below:

(i) FOR THE POST OF ASI (DRAFTSMAN GRADE-III)

(ii) FOR THE POST OF HC (CARPENTER), HC (PLUMBER),CONSTABLE (SEWERMAN), CONSTABLE (GENERATOR OPERATOR), CONSTABLE (GENERATOR MECHANIC) AND CONSTABLE (LINEMAN)

BSF GROUP C CONSTABLE SELECTION PROCESS

Candidate’s selection process will consist of three stages

Stage I - Online / Offline  Written Exam

The online written examination will be an objective type paper for 100 marks in total.

Stage II - Document Verification & Physical Standards Test

In this stage, candidates will have to provide all the documents they were required to upload at the time of registration. The candidate’s physical measurement will be tested by the board.

Stage III - Physical Efficiency Test.

The final stage of the selection process will be the Physical Efficiency Test. In this stage, the candidate’s physical fitness will be tested by the board by making them undergo various tasks.
