Haryana Civil Services Online Application Link Is Now Active! Haryana Public Service Commission (HPSC) has announced the HPSC HCS Recruitment 2023. From the 16th of February 2023, candidates can apply online for the Haryana Civil Service Exam at hpsc.gov.in. The deadline for submitting the HPSC HCS Application Form is March 12, 2023. ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA FOR HPSC HCS EXAMINATION 2022
Nationality:
The candidate must be either an Indian citizen or a subject of Nepal or Bhutan.
Tibetan refugees who arrived in India before January 1, 1962.
Person of Indian origin who settled permanently in India from Pakistan, Burma, Sri Lanka, East African countries Kenya, Uganda, the United Republic of Tanzania, Zambia, Malawi, Zaire, Ethiopia, and Vietnam.
Age Limits
The candidate (except for the position of DSP) must be between the ages of 18 and 42 on or before January 1, 2023. A candidate for the position of DSP should be between the ages of 18 and 27 on or before January 1, 2023. For reserved category candidates, the relaxed upper age limit is as follows:

Educational Qualification
Candidates must have a Bachelor's Degree in Arts/Science/Commerce or an equivalent degree from a recognised university as of February 28, 2023.

As per Haryana Police Service Rules, 2002, the Physical Standard For Deputy Superintendent of Police is as under:-

HPSC CIVIL SERVICES EXAMINATION 2022 EXAM PATTERN
HCS (Ex. Br.) & other Allied Services Examination will consist of 3 successive stages (i.e. A, B & C)
A. Prelims Exam (only for screening)
The prelims exam shall comprise of two papers.
The language of the paper shall be bilingual i.e. Hindi and English
Both the Question papers shall be of objective type (multiple choices) questions.

C. Personality Test (Viva-voce)
The HPSC will call the candidates who pass the HPSC HCS Mains Exam 2023 for a personality test/viva-voce. No candidate will be called for the HCS interview unless they score 45% on all of the main written question papers and 33% on the Hindi and English question papers. The number of candidates invited to the HCS personality test will be three times the number of advertised vacancies.

The part relating to ‗Indian Culture‘ will cover all aspects of Indian culture from the ancient to modern times. (b) Geography of India In this part, questions will on the physical, economic and social geography of India. (c) Indian Polity This part will include questions on the Constitution of India, Political system and related matters. (d) Current National issues and topics of social relevance. This part is intended to test the candidate‘s awareness of current national issues and topics of social relevance in the present-day India, such as the following : Demography and Human Resources and related issues. Part-II (a) India and the World This part is intended to test candidate‘s awareness of India‘s relationship with the world in various spheres, such as the following:- Foreign Affairs External Security and related matters. Nuclear Policy. Indian abroad. (b) Indian Economy In this part, questions will be on the planning and economic development in India, economic and trade issues foreign trade, the role and functions of I.M.F. world Bank, W.T.O. etc. (c) International Affairs and Institutions. This part will include question on important events in world affairs and on international institutions. (d) Developments in the field of science and technology, communications and space. In this part, questions will test the candidate‘s awareness of the developments in the field of science and technology, communications and space and also basic ideas computers. (e) Statistical analysis, graphs and diagrams This part will include exercises to test the candidate‘s ability to draw common sense conclusions from information presented in statistical, graphical or diagrammatical from and to point out deficiencies, limitations or inconsistencies therein. | |

C. Personality Test/Viva-Voce
A Board of Directors will interview the candidate. He or she will be quizzed on topics of general interest. The purpose of the interview is for a panel of competent and unbiased observers to assess the candidate's suitability for a career in public service. The purpose of the test is to assess a candidate's mental capacity. In broad terms, this is an evaluation of not only his intellectual abilities but also his social traits and interest in current events. Mental alertness, critical powers of assimilation, clear and logical exposition, balance or judgement, variety and depth of interest, ability for social cohesion and leadership, intellectual and moral integrity are some of the qualities to be judged.
The interview technique is not that of a strict cross-examination, but of a natural though directed and purposeful conversation designed to reveal the candidate's mental qualities.
