Agniveer MR exam notification 2023 has been issued by the Indian Navy on its official website. Online applications are now open for unmarried male and unmarried female candidates who meet the eligibility criteria set by the Government of India. The enrolment is for the Agniveer (MR) for the 02/2023 (November 2023) batch. There are a total of 100 vacancies, including a maximum of 20 exclusively for females, which will be allocated on an all-India basis.

ABOUT AGNIVEER MR JOB PROFILE
The Agniveer (MR) role consists of three different positions:
Agniveer (MR) - Chef: As a Chef, your responsibilities will include preparing food according to the menu, which includes both vegetarian and non-vegetarian dishes, including the handling of meat products. You will also be in charge of managing the ration. Additionally, you will receive training in firearms and will be assigned other duties to ensure the smooth functioning of the organization.
Agniveer (MR) - Steward: As a Steward, you will serve food in the Officers' messes, work in housekeeping, handle funds, manage wine and stores, and assist in menu preparation, among other tasks. Similar to the Chef role, you will also undergo training in firearms and will be assigned additional responsibilities to support the efficient operations of the organization.
Agniveer (MR) - Hygienist: Hygienists play a crucial role in maintaining cleanliness and hygiene in washrooms and other designated areas. Alongside these responsibilities, you will receive training in firearms and will be allocated other duties as required to ensure the organization operates smoothly.
Once selected, candidates will undergo Basic Training at INS Chilka, followed by Professional Training in the assigned trade at various Naval Training Establishments. The specific branch or trade assignment will be based on the service's requirements.
INDIAN NAVY AGNIVEER MR ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA
Nationality:
Applicants must hold Indian citizenship in order to be eligible for the Agniveer MR post.
Educational Qualification:
Candidates must have successfully completed the Matriculation Examination from the Boards of School Education recognized by the Ministry of Education, Government of India.
Age Limit:
Applicants should have been born between November 1, 2002, and April 30, 2006 (both dates inclusive) to meet the age requirements for the position.

Fee Refund Policy: Once the application fee has been paid, it is non-refundable. Regardless of the circumstances, the fee cannot be refunded or reserved for any other examination or selection process.

DURATION OF SERVICE
The Agniveers will be enlisted in the Indian Navy under the Navy Act 1957 for a duration of four years. They will hold a unique rank that is separate from any other existing ranks, and they will be considered the most junior rank in the Indian Navy. It is important to note that the Indian Navy is not obligated to retain the Agniveers beyond the specified engagement period of four years.
SELECTION PROCESS OF AGNIVEER MR 2023
The selection process for the Agniveer (MR) - 02/2023 batch will consist of two stages. The first stage is the Shortlisting stage, which will be conducted through a computer-based online examination. The second stage includes a Written Examination, Physical Fitness Test (PFT), and Recruitment Medical Examination.
AGNIVEER MR EXAM PATTERN 2023
1. STAGE - I (INET - COMPUTER BASED ONLINE EXAMINATION)
(a) The paper will be conducted in a computer-based format and will consist of a total of 50 questions, with each question carrying 01 mark.
(b) The question paper will be available in both Hindi and English languages, and it will be in an objective type (multiple-choice) format.
(c) The question paper will be divided into two sections, namely "Science & Mathematics" and "General Awareness".
(d) The question paper will be based on the standard of 10th grade.
(e) The duration of the examination will be 30 minutes.
(f) Candidates are required to pass in all sections as well as in the overall aggregate. The Indian Navy reserves the right to determine the minimum passing marks for each section and the aggregate score.
Note: Candidates should be aware that there will be a penalty (Negative Marking) for incorrect answers. Each question will have four alternatives, and for every question answered incorrectly, one-fourth (0.25) of the marks assigned to that question will be deducted as a penalty.
2. STAGE - II (WRITTEN EXAMINATION, PFT AND INITIAL MEDICAL)
Candidates who have been shortlisted in the INET examination (computer-based online examination) will receive a call-up letter for Stage II, which includes the written examination, Physical Fitness Test (PFT), and Recruitment Medical. Stage II will be conducted at designated centers of the Indian Navy.
Physical Standards:
Qualifying the Physical Fitness Test (PFT) is mandatory for the selection process. Candidates participating in the PFT will do so at their own risk. The standard for the PFT is as follows:

Note:- Proficiency in sports, swimming and extra-curricular activities is desirable.
Recruitment Medical Examination
After qualifying the Physical Fitness Test (PFT), candidates will undergo a Recruitment Medical Examination. Candidates who successfully clear the Recruitment Medical Examination will be considered for inclusion in the merit list. In the event that a candidate is found medically unfit during the examination, they will be given the option to appeal against the findings, if they wish to do so, at a designated military hospital allocated by the Indian Navy. This appeal must be made within a maximum period of 21 days. It's important to note that medical fitness certificates issued by hospitals other than the designated Military Hospitals allocated by the Indian Navy will not be considered valid. No further review or appeal beyond this stage will be permissible..
3. STAGE - III (FINAL MEDICAL EXAMINATION)
All selected candidates will undergo a final recruitment medical examination at INS Chilka. Candidates who successfully pass the final recruitment medical examination and are determined to be medically fit will be offered employment.

Candidates who display predominant characteristics of the opposite gender upon external physical examination will be deemed unfit and rejected. Candidates who have undergone gender reassignment surgery will also be declared unfit.
Pregnancy:
Female candidates who are found to be pregnant will be disqualified, and their candidature will be rejected. It is required that candidates should not have conceived at the time of reporting or during the entire four-year tenure. If a candidate is found to be pregnant during the training or engagement period of four years, appropriate action for dismissal or removal will be taken.

Through this recruitment drive, 100 vacant seats are going to be filled (including a maximum of 20 female only).
AGNIVEER MR PAY AND ALLOWANCES
Pay, Allowances and Allied Benefits: Agniveers will be paid a package of ₹30,000 per month with a fixed yearly increment. In addition, risk and hardship, dress and travel allowances will be paid.
Seva Nidhi: Agniveers shall be given a one-time Seva Nidhi package comprising their monthly contribution along with matching contribution by the Government on completion of their engagement period, as indicated below:-

Note:- There shall be no entitlement to gratuity and pensionary benefits.
During their engagement period, Agniveers will be provided with a non-contributory Life Insurance Cover of Rs. 48 lakh.
Death Compensation: In the unfortunate event of death attributable to service, in addition to the insurance cover of Rs. 48 lakh, a one-time ex-gratia payment of Rs. 44 lakh will be provided to the Next of Kin (NOK).
Disability Compensation: In case of disability, a one-time ex-gratia payment will be given based on the percentage of disability. The amounts for different disability levels are as follows: Rs. 44 lakh for 100% disability, Rs. 25 lakh for 75% disability, and Rs. 15 lakh for 50% disability.
