RBI GRADE B RECRUITMENT 2023

On April 26, 2023, the Reserve Bank of India issued a brief announcement regarding vacancies for the RBI Grade B positions. The detailed official notification for RBI Grade B 2023 is anticipated to be made available on May 9, 2023. The application process will be conducted online and the examination will be held in two phases: Phase-I and Phase-II.

WHAT IS RBI GRADE B?

RBI Grade B is an exam conducted annually by the Reserve Bank of India to hire Officers in Grade B (General). This is a highly-regarded job that offers job security. The official notification for RBI Grade B 2023 has yet to be published on the official RBI website, which will contain the eligibility requirements, examination pattern, and other pertinent information. RBI GRADE B ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA 2023

It is compulsory to fulfil the eligibility criteria as stated by the RBI.

• Nationality

To be eligible, a person must fall into one of the following categories:

  1. A citizen of India

  2. A citizen of Nepal

  3. A citizen of Bhutan

  4. A Tibetan refugee who arrived in India prior to January 1st, 1962, with the intention of permanently settling in India

  5. A person of Indian origin who migrated from Pakistan, Burma, Sri Lanka, East African countries of Kenya, Uganda, the United Republic of Tanzania, Zambia, Malawi, Zaire, Ethiopia, or Vietnam with the intention of permanently settling in India.

• Age Limit for RBI Grade B 

Minimum age limit: 21 years
Maximum age limit: 30 years

For candidates possessing M.Phil. and Ph.D. qualifications, the upper age limit will be 32 and 34 years respectively.

Furthermore, the candidates from the reserved category are eligible for relaxation in the upper age limit as per the Government of India norm.

• Educational Qualifications

The details of the required educational qualifications are given below:

RBI GRADE B POST

EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATIONS

Officers in Grade ‘B’ (DR) – (General)

Candidate must have obtained a graduation degree in any discipline or an equivalent technical or professional qualification with a minimum of 60% marks (50% for SC/ST/PWD applicants). Alternatively, a post-graduation degree or equivalent technical qualification with a minimum of 55% marks (pass marks for SC/ST/PWD applicants) in aggregate of all semesters/years is also acceptable.

Officers in Grade ‘B’ (DR) - (DEPR)

A candidate must have one of the following qualifications:

a. A Master's degree in Economics, Econometrics, Quantitative Economics, Mathematical Economics, Integrated Economics Course, or Finance, from a recognized Indian or foreign university/institute, with a minimum of 55% marks or an equivalent grade in aggregate of all semesters/years.

b. A PGDM/MBA in Finance from a recognized Indian or foreign university/institute, with a minimum of 55% marks or an equivalent grade in aggregate of all semesters/years.

c. A Master's degree in Economics with a specialization in any subcategory of economics such as agricultural, business, developmental, applied, etc., from a recognized Indian or foreign university/institute, with a minimum of 55% marks or an equivalent grade in aggregate of all semesters/years.

Officers in Grade 'B' (DR) – DSIM

A candidate must have one of the following qualifications:

a. A Master's degree in Statistics, Mathematical Statistics, Mathematical Economics, Econometrics, or Statistics & Informatics from IIT-Kharagpur or Applied Statistics & Informatics from IIT-Bombay, with a minimum of 55% marks or an equivalent grade in aggregate of all semesters/years.

b. A Master's degree in Mathematics, with a minimum of 55% marks or an equivalent grade in aggregate of all semesters/years, and a one-year post-graduate diploma in Statistics or a related subject from an institute of repute.

c. An M. Stat. degree from the Indian Statistical Institute, with a minimum of 55% marks in aggregate of all semesters/years.

d. A Post Graduate Diploma in Business Analytics (PGDBA) jointly offered by ISI Kolkata, IIT Kharagpur, and IIM Calcutta, with a minimum of 55% marks or an equivalent grade in aggregate of all semesters/years.
