OVERVIEW

The Delhi Police Department's Head Constable (Ministerial) post’s recruitment process has been advertised by the Staff Selection Commission (SSC). A formal announcement was made in this regard on the Staff Selection Commission's official website on May 17, 2022.

The application for the same was started on May 17, 2022, and accepted up to June 16, 2022. Candidates should read the complete notification as we are providing all exam-relevant information here. 

There are 835 openings for Head Constable (Ministerial) jobs in the Delhi Police, and the Staff Selection Commission has declared them. There will be a four-round selection procedure. For the Delhi Police Head Constable Recruitment 2022, applicants must have a 12th-grade diploma or equivalent. September 2022 is the date scheduled for the Delhi Police Head Constable Exam 2022.

ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA

1. Nationality/ Citizenship: 

Candidates must be the citizen of India.

 2. Age Limit 

18 to 25 years as on 01.01.2022 (i.e. candidates born not before 02-01- 1997 and not later than 01-01-2004). The upper age limit as prescribed above will be relaxable only in the following cases:-

APPLICATION PROCESS

Online submissions are the only accepted form of application for the Delhi Police Head Constable vacancy. The procedures and information for applying for this recruitment drive are as follows:

  • Visit the commission's website at Staff Selection Commission.

  • Register by providing your personal details.

  • Use your "Registration Number" and password to access the online system.

  • For the "Head Constable (Ministerial) in Delhi Police Examination-2022" section, select "Apply."

  • Now enter your required details and pay the application fee.

  • Make a copy of your records/application form after the final submission of the application.

Application fees:

  • Fee payable: Rs 100/- (Rs One hundred only). 

  • Women candidates and candidates belonging to Scheduled Castes (SC), Scheduled Tribes (ST), PwD and Ex-Servicemen (ESM) eligible for reservation are exempted 12 from payment of fee.

Note:- that until June 17, 2022, you can pay your online fees using BHIM UPI, Net Banking, Visa, Mastercard, Maestro, or RuPay credit or debit cards, as well as cash at any SBI bank by creating an SBI Challan. As long as the challan was generated before June 18, 2022, candidates may use an SBI challan to make a cash payment at any SBI branch during regular business hours until June 20. (2300 hours).

Admit Card

A Delhi Police Head Constable Admit Card for the written test, which is anticipated to take place in the month of August 2022, will only be given to applicants whose application forms have been filed successfully. Candidates can access the Delhi Police Head Constable Hall Ticket on the SSC website at ssc.nic.in  by using their registration number and password. Only online downloads of the admit cards will be accessible.

SELECTION PROCESS

There will be four steps in the selection process for the head constable post in Delhi Police. Only applicants who successfully complete the whole screening process for the Delhi Police Head Constable vacancy will be considered for the final selection. Syllabus

Questions will be designed to test the candidate’s general awareness of the environment around him/her and its application to society. DP Head Constable Typing Test 2022

As per the notice issued by the Staff Selection Commission on January 16, 2023, the following addition is made to the Typing Test:

The typing test will last for ten minutes. In Hindi, the minimum qualifying speed is 25 w.p.m. and in English, 30 w.p.m. Candidates will receive a written passage that is at least 400 words long, or 2000 strokes in Hindi, or 350 words long, or 1750 strokes in English. After the allotted 10 minutes have passed, no applicant may continue to type the passage.

A maximum of 25 marks has been allotted for the Typing Test and marking shall be done as under

Salary

Starting salaries range from Rs. 35000 to Rs. 38000. The remuneration of the Delhi Police Head Constable  decided following the 7th pay commission. According to the notification, the Delhi Police Head Constable's basic salary ranges from Rs. 25500 to Rs. 81100. (Pay Level 4). The HRA is equal to 24% of the basic pay i.e. Rs. 6120. Travel Allowance is Rs. 3600, and Dearness Allowance is equal to 12 percent of the gross salary.
