The Uttarakhand Public Service Commission (UKPSC) on November 30, 2022, issued a notification for the recruitment of 445 Junior Assistants/Data Entry Operators (JA/DEO) in various departments of the Uttarakhand Government. UKPSC JUNIOR ASSISTANT 2022-23 ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA
Nationality
Only Indian citizens are eligible to apply for this post. (Preference will be given to the domicile of Uttarakhand)
Age Limit
As of July 1, 2022, the age range is 18-42. For reserved categories, the upper age limit is relaxed as per government rules and regulations.

UKPSC JUNIOR ASSISTANT 2022-23 SELECTION PROCESS
The selection process of the UKPSC JA/DEO is divided into the following four stages:
Written Examination
Computer Typing Test

Medical Examination
UKPSC JUNIOR ASSISTANT 2022-23 EXAM PATTERN
Written Examination:
For the advertised positions, there will be a written examination (objective type) of 02 hours duration with a maximum of 100 marks. The subjects include:

Note:
The information about the date of examination will be disseminated on the website of the Commission in due course.
Penalty for wrong answers- There will be a penalty of ¼ marks for wrong answers given by the candidates in the objective-type question papers.
Computer Practical (Qualifying):
It is necessary to obtain a speed of 4000 key-depressions per hour in Hindi typing for the above posts and such posts in which minimum speed in English typing has been mentioned under compulsory/preferential qualification, according to the rules minimum speed in English typing Getting is mandatory. Apart from this, for those posts in which the minimum speed in English typing is not mentioned under mandatory / preferential qualification, it will be mandatory to obtain a speed of 8000 key-depressions per hour in English typing.
For such posts, for which there is a provision related to computer knowledge/computer operation etc., for those posts, a qualifying test of basic knowledge of computer operation will be taken, in which it is mandatory to obtain 40 percent marks. Thus the candidates who do not obtain 40% marks in the said qualifying examination shall be ineligible for selection against that post.
Note:
Candidates not achieving the typing speed so prescribed shall be ineligible for selection/preference.

Basic Knowledge of Computer Operation Practical Examination Ability Test (Qualifying Nature)
Minimum Qualifying Marks to be obtained – 40;
Time allowed: One Hour - The paper shall be set from the given syllabus broadly taking one question from each i.e. -
(1) Windows and internet
(2) M.S. - word
(3) M.S. - Access
(4) M.S. - Excel and
(5) M.S. - Power Point.
Note :
Each question shall have one action to be performed on the system each having 20 marks.
Printout of the output shall be taken and given for evaluation.
EXAM CENTRE FOR UKPSC JUNIOR ASSISTANT 2022-23
The examination will be conducted at the following centres mentioned in the table. Candidates have to select the exam centre at the time of application, however, in case of unavoidable circumstances, the exam centre/city selected by the candidate can be changed by the Honorable Commission.
