UPSSSC FOREST GUARD RECRUITMENT 2022
Uttar Pradesh Subordinate Services Selection Commission (UPSSSC) has released the official notification for the recruitment of Forest Guard (Van Daroga/ Forest Sub-Inspector) posts for Wildlife Department of Uttar Pradesh (UP) Government on 22nd September 2022. Eligible candidates can apply online for UPSSSC Forest Guard Vacancy 2022 by going through the commission’s website www.upsssc.gov.in from 17 October 2022.

UPSSSC FOREST GUARD ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA
Educational Qualification
Candidates must have a Bachelor's degree in two or more subjects out of Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, Botany, Zoology, Forestry, Geology, Agriculture, Statistics, Environmental Science from a University established by law in India for the direct recruitment to the post of Forest Guard.
OR
Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Bachelor's degree in Veterinary Science or its equivalent qualification recognized by the Government.
Note: Candidates must have qualified the PET Examination 2021.
Preferential qualification
Other things being equal, preference will be given in the matter of direct recruitment to a candidate who has-
1- Served in the Territorial Army for a minimum period of two years, or
2- Possess 'B' certificate of National Cadet Corps.
Age Limit
For direct recruitment to the post of Forest Guard, it is necessary that the candidate must have attained the age of 21 years as on 1st July of the calendar year in which the vacancies are advertised, and must not have attained the age of more than 40 years: Accordingly The crucial date for age calculation is July 01, 2022.
Provided that in the case of candidates belonging to the Scheduled Castes, the Scheduled Tribes and such other categories as may be notified by the Government from time to time, the upper age limit shall be extended by such number of years as may be specified.
Physical health
1- No candidate shall be appointed to any post in the Service unless he is of sound mental and bodily health and is not endowed with any physical defect which will prevent him from performing his duties efficiently. There is a possibility of obstruction. Before a candidate is finally approved for appointment by direct recruitment, he shall be required to pass the examination of the Medical Council.
2- A female candidate found to be pregnant of 12 weeks or more on the basis of the test shall be declared temporarily unwell. She will be re-examined for fitness after 06 weeks from the date of delivery.
Physical Standard Test
Height / Chest
No candidate shall be appointed to the service for direct recruitment to the post of Forest Guard unless he possesses the minimum standards for height and chest specified below:-

In the case of candidates belonging to the Scheduled Tribes and of Gorkha, Nepali, Garhwali and Kumaoni descent, the minimum height standard shall be as follows-

Qualifying Physical Test
Male candidates will have to cover 25 km in 04 hours and female candidates will have to cover 14 km in 04 hours under this qualifying walking test.
UPSSSC FOREST GUARD APPLICATION PROCESS 2022
Visit the official website of the commission at upsssc.gov.in.
Now click on “Applicant’s Dashboard Tab (Login through PET Registration Number)” given under the Applicants section on the home page.
There you have to authenticate through personal details or OTP to login.
Thereafter a pre-filled form will be displayed with the details entered by you at the time of PET 2021 registration.
After verifying the details upload your photograph, signature and pay the application fee.
Submit the form after clicking on the checkbox next to the declaration.
Proceed to download the form and take a printout of it for future reference.
Application fee
Only online processing fees will be charged from the candidates for online application at the level of application, whose category-wise details are mentioned in the table given below. In case of being shortlisted for the main examination, the examination fee for the main examination will be payable separately by the shortlisted candidates, which will have to be paid before downloading the admit card for the main examination.

SELECTION PROCESS UPSSSC FOREST GUARD 2022
The selection process of Direct Recruitment 2022 for the post of Uttar Pradesh (UP) Forest Guard includes the following steps:

UPSSSC FOREST GUARD EXAM PATTERN 2022
The UPSSSC Forest Guard & Wildlife Guard written exam is divided into three sections. The total score for all these sections is 200, and the exam will be conducted in 2 hours 30 minutes (150 minutes).

Note:
Questions will be asked in the Multiple Choice Objective Test.
The exam will last for two hours and thirty minutes.
There will be a total of 200 questions in the exam.
The question paper will be of 200 marks.
Negative marking of 1/4 [25%] will be deducted from each wrong answer.
