ALLAHABAD UNIVERSITY PGAT REGISTRATION STARTED: APPLY TILL 16TH MAY 2023

ALLAHABAD UNIVERSITY PGAT 2023:

The University of Allahabad has announced the Post Graduate Admission Test (PGAT) for the academic year 2023-24. The application process will be open from April 25, 2023, to May 16, 2023, and interested candidates can apply through the official website of the university.

The entrance exam is scheduled to take place in the first week of June 2023, and the results are expected to be released by the end of the same month. Counselling for admissions to different courses is expected to commence in the second week of July 2023.

The pattern and mode of the entrance test will remain the same as last year. The PGAT-I, LL.B., M.Com., and LL.M. entrance tests will be conducted in both online and offline modes, while the PGAT-II and IPS courses will be conducted online only.

A total of 9467 seats are available for PGAT 2023-24, out of which 4203 are for the university campus and 5264 are for the constituent colleges. The entrance test will be conducted at various centres in cities like Prayagraj, Lucknow, Kanpur, Gorakhpur, Varanasi, Bareilly, Bhopal, Kolkata, Patna, Thiruvanthpuram, and New Delhi.

PGAT 2023-24 will be conducted for 32 courses, including LL.B., M.Com., and LL.M. There will also be PGAT-I, which will offer 24 courses, including B.Ed., M.Ed., MBA (RD), and MBA, in addition to professional courses such as M.C.A., M.Sc. Food Tech., M.Voc. Media Studies, and P.G.D.C.A., offered by the Institute of Professional Studies (IPS). The university is offering M.Tech. in Materials Science and Technology through the Centre of Materials Science, with a capacity of 15 students.

The maximum marks for all courses in PGAT 2023-24 will be 300, consisting of 150 multiple-choice questions. There will be no negative marking for wrong answers. Admit cards can be downloaded one week prior to the entrance test, and candidates must carry the admit card and original ID proof to the test centre. The use of mobile phones, calculators, gadgets, electronic devices, or written/printed papers is prohibited.
