ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA FOR ASSAM JAIL WARDER 2023:

Nationality

Candidates must be Indian citizens and Assam permanent residents. After the release of the final select list, chosen candidates must present proof of residency. Candidates from the SC, ST, OBC, and MOBC groups are exempted from providing these certificates.

Age Limit

Candidates must be between the ages of 18 and 40 as of January 1, 2023. (i.e. Candidate must be born on or before 01.01.2005 and on or after 01.01.1983). Age relaxation is also permissible for some special categories.

Relaxation in age is as follows:-

SC, ST (P) and ST(H)	5 (five) years
OBC/MOBC	3 (three) years
Ex-Servicemen	2 (two)years

Educational Qualification

Candidates must have completed H.S.L.C or equivalent from Govt. recognized Board or Council.
