Women candidates are not required to apply. HOW TO APPLY:

1. Go to the Border Roads Organisation’s official website.

2. There is a link to register on the homepage; if you have already registered, skip this step and log in using your credentials.

3. After logging in, complete the application form with the necessary information.

4. Submit the required documents online and pay the application fee.

5 After completing the application process, take a printout of your response. 

Application Fee

The application fee must be paid instantly after filling out the application form through the online URL link in the direction of the Commandant, GREF Centre, Pune-411015. There won't be any other forms of payment accepted. A copy of the e-receipt must be included with the application form by the candidate. (ii) Having two years Certificate in Architecture or Draughtsmanship from a recognized Institute or equivalent;

Possessing two years National Trade Certificate for Draughtsman (Civil) from a recognized Institute and having one year practical experience in the trade  

Supervisor (Administration) 

(i) Degree from a recognized University or equivalent; 

(ii) Possessing National Cadet Core ‘B’ Certificate or Ex-Naib Subedar (General Duty) from the Army or equivalent from Navy or Air Force. 

Supervisor Stores 

(i) Degree from a recognized University or equivalent; 

(ii) Possessing certificate in Material Management or Inventory Control or Stores Keeping from a recognized institution.

Possessing two years experience in handling Engineering Stores in Central Government or State Government Department or establishment.

or Possessing Class-I Course for Storeman Technical as laid down in Defence Service Regulations, (Qualification Regulations for Soldiers) from office of Records or Centres or similar establishment of Defence  

Supervisor Cipher  

(i) Degree in Science from a recognized University;

having passed Class I Course for Operator Cipher as laid down in Defence Service Regulations (Qualification Regulations for Soldiers) from office of Records or Centres or similar establishment of Defence; 

Hindi Typist  

i) 10+2 from a recognized Board or equivalent; 

ii) Typing speed 30 words per minute in Hindi on Computer (30 words per minute correspond to 9000 KDPH on an average of 5 Key depressions for each word). 

Operator (Communication) 

(i) Matriculation from a recognized Board or equivalent; 

(ii) Possessing Wireless Operator or Radio Mechanic Certificate from Industrial Training Institute or equivalent; 

or 

Defence Trade Certificate from an Army Institute or similar establishment of Defence with knowledge of Radio Technology; 

or 

having passed Class I Course for Wireless Operator and Key Board as laid down in Defence Service Regulations (Qualification Regulations for Soldiers) from the Office of Records or Centres or similar establishment of Defence.  


Electrician

 i) Matriculation from a recognized Board or equivalent; 

ii) Possessing certificate of Auto Electrician from Industrial Training Institute or equivalent and having one year experience as Electrician; 

Or 

having passed the Electrician Class 2 Course as laid down in Defence Service Regulations (Qualification Regulations for Soldiers) from the Office of Records or Centres or similar establishment of Defence.  


Welder  

 i) Matriculation from a recognized Board or equivalent; 

ii) Possessing Welder (Electrical & Gas) Certificate from Industrial Training Institute or equivalent; 

Or 

Defence Trade Certificate from an Army Institute or similar establishment of Defence or equivalent and having one year experience as welder from Army Workshop; 

Or 

Having passed the Class 2 Course for Welder as laid down in Defence Service Regulations, (Qualification Regulations for Soldiers) from the Office of Records or Centres or similar establishment of Defence.

Multi Skilled Worker (Black Smith)

 (i) Matriculation from a recognized Board or equivalent; 

(ii) Possessing certificate of Black Smith or forge technology or heat transfer technology or Sheet Metal worker certificate from Industrial Training Institute /Industrial Trade Certificate / National Council for Training in the Vocational Trades / State Council for Vocational Training. 

OR 

Passed Class 2 course for Black Smith as laid down in Defence Service Regulations, (Qualification Regulations for soldiers) from office of Records/Centres or similar establishment of Defence. 

(iii) Should qualify in a proficiency test in the trade to be conducted by Border Roads Organisation.

 (iv) Should qualify physical tests as per Border Roads Organisation guidelines.

(v) Should meet physical and medical standards as per Border Roads Organisation guidelines. 

Multi Skilled Worker (Cook) 

(i) Matriculation from a recognized Board or equivalent; 

(ii) Should qualify in a proficiency test in the trade to be conducted by Border Roads Organisation. 

(iii) Should qualify in physical tests as per Border Roads Organisation guidelines. 

(iv) Should meet physical and medical standards as per Border Roads Organisation guidelines.

SELECTION PROCESS:

Written Exam. 

  1. Answers to the questions must be written in ballpoint pen only in blue or black.

  2. No pencil work is permitted.

  3. Candidates will be disqualified if their identities are revealed on the answer sheet.

  4. The written exam's syllabus will typically be in accordance with the educational requirements, technical requirements, and other essential credentials specified for the posts.

  5. According to the syllabus and the courses studied as part of the required minimum educational/technical qualification for the post, the questions will be either objective, subjective, or objective and subjective.

  6. The exam will have bilingual questions in English and Hindi, and depending on the trade, it might last anywhere from one hour to three hours.

  7. The objective type Questions will be OMR-based and subjective questions have to be answered in the answer sheet. 

  8. Minimum passing marks for UR, EWS & OBC category is 50% and for SC & ST category is 40%.

Physical Efficiency Test. 

Candidates will undergo physical efficiency test based on the call letter issued and candidates who qualify in the physical test will only be allowed to attend the further practical test as applicable to the post. 

Practical / Trade Test. 

Candidates will undergo Practical / Trade test wherever applicable and those who qualify in Practical / Trade Test will only be considered for the final merit list based on marks in the written exam. 

Medical Standards. 

Every recruit must be sufficiently intelligent, be free from various instability and be in possession of sound health. He shall have no constitutional or acquired disability as may in the opinion of the Recruiting Medical Officer render him unfit for duties in the Force particularly at high altitude. He must be free from Colour blindness.
