Central Bank Of India has issued an official notification regarding the engagement of Apprentices on 20th March 2023. Bank has invited online applications from interested and eligible candidates from 20th March to 3rd April 2023. Selected candidates will be engaged in branches/offices in the respective districts at the discretion of the Bank.
Through this recruitment drive, 5000 vacant seats will be filled and may vary according to the actual requirement of the Bank. The Bank will conduct the online examination for the same in the 2nd week of April month. A candidate must be either
i) A Citizen of India or
ii) A subject of Nepal or
iii) A subject of Bhutan or
iv) A Tibetan refugee who came over to India before 1st January, 1962 with the intention of permanently settling in India or
v) A person of Indian origin who has migrated from Pakistan, Burma, Sri Lanka, East African countries of Kenya, Uganda, the United Republic of Tanzania (formerly Tanganyika and Zanzibar), Zambia, Malawi, Zaire, Ethiopia and Vietnam with the intention of permanently settling in India Provided that a candidate belonging to categories (ii), (iii), (iv) & (v) above shall be a person in whose favor a certificate of eligibility has been issued by the Government of India.
Candidates age must be between 20 years to 28 years. However, relaxation in the upper age limit for categories like SC/ST/OBC/PWBD etc. as per Govt. of India guidelines is applicable.

Graduate degree in any discipline from a recognized University or any equivalent qualifications recognized as such by the Central Government.
In case you are facing any trouble in applying then you can follow the below-mentioned steps to apply for the same:-
On the homepage, you will get a link to “Engagement of Apprentices under Apprentices Act, 1961 for F.Y 2023-24”.
After clicking on the apply link you will be redirected to the next screen where you have to fill out your credentials to log in. (If you haven’t registered yourself then firstly register yourself to login)
After logging in, select the state from where you want to apply and fill out the application form.
Now, upload the required documents in the needed format.
To complete the application process submit the application process and take a screenshot of the final submission for future reference.
Application/Examination/Intimation fee to be remitted by all eligible applicants only on demand by the scrutinizing/examining body deputed by the Bank is as under (GST @ 18% extra will be charged on application fee):

Selection for engagement of candidates who apply for apprenticeship in the Bank after paying the requisite online fee shall have to undergo the selection process, which would comprise the following:
1. Online Written Test (objective type)
2. Local Language Proof
3. Interview
The online written examination will consist of five parts i.e. 1. Quantitative, General English, & Reasoning Aptitude and Computer Knowledge 2. Basic Retail Liability Products 3. Basic Retail Asset Products 4. Basic Investment Products 5. Basic Insurance Products
The duration of the exam will be published along with the call letters.
The candidate should be proficient in the local language Candidate will be required to produce a certificate of VIII/X/XII or Graduate level having studied the local language as one of his/her subjects.
Candidates up to 4 times vacancies will be called for an interview for checking their suitability for the post. It will be at the discretion of the bank to conduct the interview or dispense with it.
Note:-
Merit List will be drawn district-wise and category-wise.
Candidates qualified in the test will be placed according to their aggregate marks in descending order in respective districts and Categories.
In case more than one candidate scores the same marks in the Merit List, such candidates will be ranked in the merit list according to their age in descending order.

Note:- Diem Allowance will be paid in case the apprentice is made to travel for the official purpose. The apprentice shall be entitled to travel by Sleeper class by train while traveling on duty. For this purpose actual cost of fare incurred for the shortest route will be reimbursed. For travel by road, the actual cost incurred on Public Transport will be reimbursed. The apprentices are not eligible for any other allowances/ benefits
Apprentice shall be entitled to such holidays as are observed in the Bank.
The apprentice shall be entitled to one casual Leave on completion of one month of Apprenticeship. No other type of leave is applicable for the Apprentices.
The apprentice can avail of only 4 casual leaves at a time. Leave accumulated, if any will automatically get exhausted on termination/completion of the contract.
The daily hours of training will be as applicable to the clerical staff of the Bank.
No apprentice shall be allowed for overtime.
If personal injury is caused to an apprentice, by accident arising out of and in the course of his training as an apprentice, the Bank will be liable to pay compensation which shall be determined and paid, so far as may be, in accordance with the provisions of the Workmen’s Compensation Act, 1923, subject to the modifications specified in the schedule to the Apprentices Act, 1961.
