DHC JUDICIAL SERVICE ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA 2023:

The eligibility criteria for direct recruits are as follows:

  • Citizenship:Candidates must be citizens of India.

  • Advocacy Experience:Candidates must have a minimum of seven years of continuous practice as an Advocate. This requirement should be fulfilled as of the last date of receipt of applications, which is 29th July 2023.

  • Age Limit:Candidates should be at least 35 years old and must not have exceeded 45 years of age as of 1st January of the year in which the applications for appointment are invited. In this case, the relevant date is 1st January 2023.

Note:- It is important for candidates to ensure that they meet these qualifications before applying for the Delhi Higher Judicial Service Examination.

  1. Visit the official website Delhi high court.

  2. On the homepage, Click on the "Public Notices" or "Job Openings" section to access the page containing the latest job notifications and advertisements.

  3. Look for the specific notification titled "Apply Online for Delhi Higher Judicial Service Examination-2023" and click on it.

  4. On the registration page, create an account by providing the required details. This will enable you to proceed with the application process.

DHC JUDICIAL SERVICE SELECTION PROCESS 2023:

The selection process for the Delhi Higher Judicial Service (DHC Judicial Service) consists of three stages:

  1. Delhi Higher Judicial Service Preliminary Examination:This is an objective-type examination with 25% negative marking. The purpose of this stage is to shortlist candidates for the Mains Examination (Written). The Preliminary Examination evaluates the candidates' knowledge and understanding of the relevant subjects.

  2. Delhi Higher Judicial Service Mains Examination:This stage is a written examination conducted for the candidates who have qualified in the Preliminary Examination. The Mains Examination is designed to assess candidates' comprehensive knowledge, analytical skills, and legal writing abilities. The examination format typically includes descriptive questions and essays.

  3. Viva-Voce:Candidates who successfully clear the Mains Examination are called for the Viva-Voce, which is an oral interview. This stage evaluates candidates' personality traits, communication skills, knowledge of current legal issues, and their suitability for the judicial service. The Viva-Voce provides an opportunity for the selection committee to interact with the candidates directly.
