The Haryana Staff Selection Commission issued the HSSC CET exam notification 2023 on 30th May 2023. The purpose of this exam is to recruit candidates for Group D posts. The online application process for the Common Eligibility Test (CET) has commenced and will be open from June 5th to June 26th, 2023. A total of 13,536 vacancies will be filled through this recruitment drive.

To apply for the Group D posts, candidates must be between the age of 18 to 42 years. However, there are certain special categories that are eligible for age relaxation. Here is a table outlining the permissible age relaxation for these categories:

Disabled persons who are covered under the Rights of Persons with Disabilities Act, 2016 | (i) 10 years' relaxation in age (+5 years if PwD applicant belongs to S/Caste, S/Tribe, B/Classes, EWS Category) subject to maximum 52 years, for Group C & D Posts, and also for Group A & B Posts where recruitment is made otherwise than through open competitive examination. (ii) 5 years' relaxation in age (+5 years if PwD applicant belongs to S/Caste, S/Tribe, B/Classes, EWS Category (subject to maximum 52 years) for Group A &B posts where recruitment is made through open competitive examination. Note:- Relaxation in age limit shall be applicable irrespective of the fact whether the post is reserved for PwD or not, provided the post is identified as suitable for persons with disabilities. |
Group C posts of Police Personnel and Prisons Personnel (e.g. Constable, ASI) where the upper age limit is less than 42 years | 5 years’ relaxation in age to S/Caste, B/Classes and applicants of Economically Weaker Sections (EWS) only. Persons who have already worked or presently working on an adhoc/contract/work charged/daily wages basis in any Department/ Board/ Corporation of the Haryana Government including Government aided institutions under the Haryana Government. | Relaxation in age equal to the number of completed years only on an equivalent post on adhoc/contract/work-charged/daily wages basis excluding the period of break, if any, including any other age relaxation admissible, if any, subject to the maximum age of 52 years and also subject to the condition that if once a person has been appointed on regular basis in any Department/Board/Corporation etc. of Haryana Government with the benefit of relaxation in age he will not be entitled to avail the same again for any subsequent appointment. |
For all Group D posts, excluding Sweepers, Chowkidar, and Sweeper-cum-Chowkidar, the following eligibility criteria apply:
i) Candidates must have completed Matriculation (10th) from a recognized Board.
ii) Proficiency in Hindi/Sanskrit up to the Matriculation level is required, with it being one of the subjects studied.
Here are the steps you need to follow:
Visit the official website of HSSC.
On the website, enter your Mobile Number and Captcha Code.
Verify your mobile number by entering the OTP (One-Time Password) sent to your mobile device.
Once verified, start filling out the Haryana CET Registration Form. Provide the required basic details, including communication information, educational background, and other necessary information.
Upload your recent photograph and signature in JPG format, ensuring that the file size does not exceed 500 KB. Additionally, upload any other required documents as specified.
After submitting the form, a new registration number will be generated for you. Make sure to note it down for future reference.
Log in to the portal using the registration number generated above.
Complete the application submission process by providing the remaining details as required.
Pay the application fee as specified by the Haryana Staff Selection Commission. The fee details will be listed on the website.
Once you have reviewed all the provided information, click on the "Submit" tab to finalize your application.
It is advisable to download and save a copy of the application form for future reference.

The fee for a registration/application form is non-transferable and non-refundable/adjustable. It can be paid online or through an e-Challan. Applicants must select their preferred payment method during the online application. The commission is not responsible for any payment issues or transaction failures.
Candidates for Group D posts, where the minimum educational qualification is Matriculation, will be selected and recommended based on the Common Eligibility Test and Socio-economic criteria.
The Common Eligibility Test score shall include CET marks and Socioeconomic criteria as follows;-

The Common Eligibility Test marks will be divided into two parts:
The question paper for Group D posts will be set at the level of secondary education, equivalent to the Matriculation level.
(a) 75% marks will be allocated for General Awareness, Reasoning, quantitative ability, English, Hindi, and relevant or concerned subject(s), as applicable.
(b) 25% marks will be allocated for History, Current Affairs, Literature, Geography, Environment, Culture, etc. of Haryana.
