The Intelligence Bureau has issued the official notification for the JIO-II/Tech 2023 exam on its website. Online applications are now open for Indian nationals who wish to apply for the Junior Intelligence Officer Grade-II/Technical position in the Intelligence Bureau, under the Ministry of Home Affairs, Government of India. Interested candidates can submit their applications through the official IB website between June 3rd and June 23rd, 2023.
Applicants are advised to carefully review all the requirements mentioned in different sections and subsections to ensure their eligibility based on age limits, essential qualifications, and other criteria for the JIO-II/Tech post before proceeding with the application process. Candidates age should be between 18-27 years to apply for this post. Category-wise relaxation in age is tabulated below:-

For the Junior Intelligence Officer Grade-II/Technical position in the Intelligence Bureau, applicants must meet one of the following educational qualifications:
I. Diploma in Engineering in the fields of Electronics or Electronics & Tele-communication or Electronics & Communication or Electrical & Electronics or Information Technology or Computer Science or Computer Engineering or Computer Applications from a government-recognized university or institute.
OR
II. Bachelor's Degree in Science with specialization in Electronics or Computer Science or Physics or Mathematics from a government-recognized university or institute.
OR
III. Bachelor's Degree in Computer Applications from a government-recognized university or institute.
Candidates must possess any one of these qualifications to be considered eligible for the JIO-II/Tech position.
To apply for the Junior Intelligence Officer Grade-II/Technical position, please follow the steps below:

On the homepage of the Intelligence Bureau website, you will get a link to "Online application for the post of Junior Intelligence Officer, Grade-II/Technical i.e. JI0-11/Tech in IB."
Click on the provided link, and a PDF file will appear on the screen. This PDF will contain further instructions and a link to the application portal.
Click on the application portal link mentioned in the PDF. It will redirect you to the online application page.
On the application portal, enter your credentials, including personal details, educational qualifications, contact information, etc. Fill out the application form accurately and double-check the information before submitting it.
Once you have filled out the form, you will be required to upload the necessary documents as specified in the instructions. These documents may include your photograph, signature, educational certificates, identity proof, etc. Make sure to scan or have these documents ready in the specified format.
After uploading the required documents, proceed to pay the application fee.
Once you have successfully completed the application process, it is recommended to take a printout of the final submitted application for future reference.

In the Tier-I examination for the Junior Intelligence Officer Grade-II/Technical position, the candidate will be allotted a centre based on their choice.
It is important to note that there will be a negative marking of ¼ mark for each incorrect answer. Un-attempted questions will not be awarded any marks.
Candidates should be aware that questions marked as "Mark for Review" will not be considered for evaluation.
These guidelines regarding choice of exam center, negative marking, un-attempted questions, and "Mark for Review" status are important to keep in mind while preparing for and taking the Tier-I examination.

Note:- Tier-I examination for the Junior Intelligence Officer Grade-II/Technical position, there will be cut-off marks that candidates need to meet in order to qualify for further stages of the selection process. The cut-off marks are specified below, out of a total of 100 marks:
UR (Unreserved) category: 35 marks
OBC (Other Backward Classes) category: 34 marks
SC (Scheduled Caste) and ST (Scheduled Tribe) categories: 33 marks
EWS (Economically Weaker Section) category: 35 marks
It is important to mention that all Ex-servicemen will be treated in their respective categories, which include UR/OBC/SC/ST/EWS. This means that Ex-servicemen will be evaluated based on the cut-off marks specific to their category.

Level 4 (Rs.25,500-81,100) in the pay matrix (Plus admissible Central Government allowances). Note:
(i) Special Security Allowance @ 20% basic pay in addition to other Government allowances.
(ii) Cash compensation in lieu of duty performed on holidays subject to a ceiling of 30 days.
