Indian Army issued an official notification regarding the NCC Special entry scheme 54 Course (OCT 2023). Online applications are invited from unmarried males and unmarried females (including Wards of Battle Casualties of Indian Army Personnel), for grant of Short Service Commission in the Indian Army.
Interested and eligible candidates can apply for the same by visiting the official website of the Indian Army till 15th Feb 2023. Those who want to apply, are advised to read this article carefully as we are sharing the whole exam-related information here which is necessary to know before applying for the same.

A candidate must either be:
(i) A citizen of India, or
(ii) A subject of Nepal,
(iii) A person of Indian origin who has migrated from Pakistan, Myanmar, Sri Lanka and East African countries of Kenya, Uganda, the United Republic of Tanzania, Zambia, Malawi, Zaire and Ethiopia and Vietnam with the intention of permanently settling in India, provided that a candidate belonging to categories (ii) and (iii) above shall be a person in whose favour a certificate of eligibility has been issued by the Government of India. A certificate of eligibility will, however, not be necessary in the case of candidates who are Gorkha subjects of Nepal.
Candidates for the National Cadet Corps (NCC) must be between the ages of 19 and 25 as of July 1, 2023 (including those who were born between July 2, 1998, and July 1, 2004, inclusive).

Visit the official website of the Indian Army.
Officer Entry Apply/Login should be chosen on the homepage before "Registration" (registration is not necessary if you are already registered ).
To ensure successful registration, complete the online registration form after carefully reading the instructions.
After logging in, select "Apply Online" from the Dashboard. It will open a page entitled "Officers Selection - Eligibility." Afterwards, select "Apply" next to Short Service Commission NCC Special Entry Course.
The page named "Application Form" will open. Click "Continue" after carefully reading the instructions, then fill out the fields for personal information, Communication details, Education details and details of previous SSB as needed for each phase. Always click "Save & Continue" before proceeding to the following phase.
You will be directed to the "Summary of your information" page after finishing the last segment's details so that you can examine and edit the information you've already entered.
Each time a candidate opens the application to make adjustments, they must click "Submit" once they are certain that all of their information is valid.
Print out the final submission for your records.
There is no application fee.

The monthly stipend for Gentlemen or Lady Cadets for the entire time they are enrolled in Service Academies, or for the training term at OTA, is 56,100.
The officer's pay in the Pay Matrix will be fixed in the first Cell of Level 10 upon successful commissioning. The time spent in training is not regarded as commissioned service. Any unpaid cadets’ allowances for the training period will be paid in full.
