INDIAN NAVY SENIOR SECONDARY RECRUIT (SSR) APPLICATION STARTS

IMPORTANT POINTS: AGNIVEER SSR AT A GLANCE:

On July 1, 2022, the Indian Navy released an official notice on its website. Unmarried male and female applicants who meet the requirements set forth by the Government of India may apply online to be registered as Agniveer Senior Secondary Recruits (SSR) for the 01/2022 (Nov. 22) batch. There are 2800 open positions overall (with a maximum of 560 women), and they will be allocated according to states.

HOW TO APPLY:

1. Go to the official website, first.

2. Next, click Current Events to access the URL for the Agniveer SSR notification.

3. After clicking there, a new window with the link to Apply Online will open.

4. To finish the application procedure, enter your credentials.

5. Following the upload of your crucial documents, pay the application fee. Print out the same page for your reference.

Application Fee

For a fixed charge of Rs 60 + GST, the application may be uploaded from any Common Service Center (CSC) in the nation. This feature is completely optional.

ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA:

• Age

Candidates should be born between 01 Nov 1999 - 30 Apr 2005 (Both dates inclusive). 

• Educational Qualifications

Candidates must have passed the 10+2 exam in at least one of the following combinations: - Chemistry, biology, and computer science from boards of school education approved by the Indian Ministry of Education.

• Marital Status

The Indian Navy only accepts unmarried male and unmarried female applicants for the position of Agniveer. Candidates must promise not to get married before finishing their ab-initio training. If a candidate marries while undergoing abinitio training or is discovered to be married in-spite of having made a commitment to the contrary, they risk being fired from their position.

SELECTION PROCESS:

Candidates will be selected for interviews based on their cumulative percentages in the qualifying test (10+2) for Physics, Mathematics, and at least one of these subjects: Chemistry, Biology, or Computer Science. State-by-state shortlisting will be done in a ratio of four times the number of openings. Since vacancies have been distributed according to states, the cut-off marks may differ from one state to the other. Those who get shortlisted would receive a call-up letter for the written test and PFT. Aadhar Card is mandatory for written examination/ PFT.

• Written Exam

1. The written exam is to be conducted at the designated centre on the specified date and time. 

2. The question paper will be bilingual (Hindi & English) and objective type. The question paper will comprise four sections i.e. English, Science, Mathematics and General Awareness. 

3. The exam will be of 60 minutes duration. 

4. The candidates are required to pass in all sections as well as in aggregate. 

• Physical Standards. 

Qualifying in Physical Fitness Test (PFT) is mandatory for selection. Candidates undergoing PFT will do so at their own risk. PFT standard is as follows:-

PAY, ALLOWANCES AND ALLIED BENEFITS:

Agniveers will receive a monthly package of 30,000 with a fixed annual raise. Additionally risk and hardship, clothing, and travel allowances will be provided.
