On January 18, 2023, the Life Insurance Corporation of India published a job advertisement for the position of Apprentice Development Officer on its official website. The online application window for all eligible and interested candidates opened on January 21, 2023. The LIC has announced a total of 9394 open positions for Apprentice Development Officers. List of Centres - Preliminary & Main Examination |
The candidates who are eligible for recruitment are divided into the following three categories:
LIC Agents,
LIC Employees, and
Others (Open Market).
The applicant must be at least 21 years old (in completed years) and no older than 30 years old (in completed years) on January 1, 2023.
The category-wise relaxation in the upper age limit given by LIC is as follows:

Ex-serviceman | 30, increased by the number of years of service in the armed forces subject to, maximum age of 42 years if belongs to Unreserved category (i.e. other than SC/ ST/ OBC ), maximum age of 45 years if belongs to OBC category and maximum age of 47 years if is a member of SC or ST category. |
The category-wise educational qualification is as follows:
For LIC Employees category and LIC Agents category, in both Urban and Rural areas | Applicant should possess a Bachelor’s Degree in any discipline from a recognized University in India established under a statute/approved for the purpose or the Fellowship of Insurance Institute of India, Mumbai. |
An applicant from Others category (Open Market ), in both Urban and Rural areas | Bachelor’s Degree from a recognized University in India established under a statute/approved for the purpose or the Fellowship of Insurance Institute of India, Mumbai. |
The applicant must have the following experience as of January 1, 2023:

Others Category (Open Market) | Preference would be given to candidates who have at least 2 years experience in life insurance industry or in marketing of financial products. |

Your registered Email ID and Mobile number will be sent a provisional registration number and password.
Log in after receiving the registration number and password to complete the application process.
Fill out the personal, academic, and communication information correctly.
Upload the photo, signature, Left Hand Thumb Impression, and so on.
Before paying the application fee, double-check the information you entered in the form.
After you have paid the application fees, your LIC ADO 2023 application form will be accepted provisionally.
Download and take a printout of the same for future reference.
Candidate must pay Application Fees/Intimation Charges (Non-refundable) including GST only through Online mode as follows:

A. Online Test for Others (Open Market) Category:
For candidates from the Open Market Category, the online examination will be divided into two phases: preliminary examination and main examination.

A single-phase examination, the Main Examination, will be used to select Apprentice Development Officers from the LIC Agents and LIC Employee categories. It will be an objective test administered online.

Only the marks obtained in the main examination will be considered for interview shortlisting. The marks obtained in the main examination and the marks obtained in the interview will be used to determine the candidates' final merit list.
In order to limit the number of candidates called for interviews, LIC of India reserves the right to set eligibility standards and minimum marks to qualify in the interview in proportion to the number of vacancies. The interview is worth a maximum of 40 marks.
