NCC 55 SES RECRUITMENT 2024:

NCC 55 Special Entry Scheme Course 2024 notification has been issued by the Indian Army on its official website. Online applications are now open for unmarried male and unmarried female candidates, including the children of Indian Army personnel who have been Battle Casualties, to apply for the Short Service Commission in the Indian Army. Interested and eligible candidates can submit their applications on the Indian Army's official website from July 5th to August 3rd, 2023. Those possessing an NCC C certificate are eligible to apply for the NCC 55 course, which will commence at OTA Chennai in April 2024.

NCC 55 SPECIAL ENTRY SCHEME ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA 2023:

Nationality

Candidates must fulfill one of the following criteria: 

(i) Must be a citizen of India. 

(ii) Must be a subject of Nepal. 

(iii) Must be a person of Indian origin who has migrated from Pakistan, Myanmar, Sri Lanka, and East African countries of Kenya, Uganda, the United Republic of Tanzania, Zambia, Malawi, Zaire, and Ethiopia, and Vietnam with the intention of permanently settling in India. However, candidates falling under categories (ii) and (iii) must possess a certificate of eligibility issued by the Government of India, except for Gorkha subjects of Nepal who do not require a certificate of eligibility.

Age Limit

For National Cadet Corps (NCC) candidates, including wards of Battle Casualties, the age limit is between 19 to 25 years as of January 1, 2024. Candidates must have been born between January 2, 1999, and January 1, 2005, inclusive.

Educational Qualification for NCC 'C' Certificate Holders:

Educational Qualification: Candidates must hold a degree from a recognized university or an equivalent qualification with a minimum aggregate of 50% marks, considering the marks of all years. Candidates in their final year are also eligible to apply, provided they have secured a minimum aggregate of 50% marks in the first two/three years of their three/four-year degree course, respectively. If selected for an interview, these candidates must secure an overall minimum aggregate of 50% marks in the degree course; otherwise, their candidature will be canceled.

Service in NCC: Candidates must have served a minimum of two/three years (as applicable) in the Senior Division/Wing of NCC.

Grading: Candidates must have obtained a minimum of a 'B' grade in the 'C' Certificate Exam of NCC. Applicants who do not hold an NCC 'C' Certificate at the time of application are not eligible to apply for the course.

IN NCC 55 SES TRAINING:

All expenses related to training at the Officers Training Academy (OTA) are fully covered by the government. However, if a cadet, regardless of gender, voluntarily withdraws from the training academy for personal reasons not related to medical grounds or circumstances beyond their control, they will be required to reimburse the cost of training. The reimbursement amount will be calculated based on the weekly training cost, which is currently set at ₹15,055/- as of 2022, subject to adjustment in accordance with future notifications. It is important to note that the state bears the cost of training, and it will be recovered from cadets who withdraw for personal reasons.

Military Service Pay (MSP)

Officers holding the rank of Lieutenant (Lt) to Brigadier (Brig) are entitled to a fixed monthly Military Service Pay (MSP) of ₹15,500/-. This amount is fixed and remains consistent.

Fixed Stipend for Cadet Training:

During their training period, gentlemen cadets will receive a fixed stipend of ₹56,100/- per month.

To apply for the Indian Army's Special Entry Scheme, follow these steps:

  1. Visit the official website of the Indian Army.

  2. Click on the "Officer Entry Apply/Login" tab.

  3. On the next page, click on "Registration" to create a new account.

  4. Fill in the required details and complete the registration process.

  5. Once registered, go back to the dashboard and click on "Apply Online."

  6. Look for the "Apply" button next to the "NCC 55 Special Entry Scheme" option.

  7. Click on "Apply" to access the application form.

  8. Fill in all the necessary information accurately and completely.

  9. Review the filled-in form to ensure accuracy and correctness.

  10. Submit the application form electronically.

  11. After submitting, it is advisable to take a printout of the application for future reference.
