PUNJAB CABINET TO END CONTRACTUAL RECRUITMENT AND APPROVES NEW JOB OPENINGS!

On 22nd March 2022, Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann announced that the employment of Group C and D employees will be made permanent, and he directed the Chief Secretary to end such contractual and outsourcing recruitments.

Earlier, on March 19 2022 too during its first meeting, the Punjab Cabinet approved a proposal to create a total of 25,000 government jobs, including 10,000 positions in the state police department and 15,000 vacancies in other government departments.

This historic decision would open up new avenues of employment for young people by providing jobs to them in the government sector through a transparent and merit-based process.
