  1.  Go Through Previous Year Question Papers

This will be the very first step which requires you to have introspection of yourself: where you stand, how much are you in the game. Now segregate subjects as per their difficulty level and chalk out a plan to cover each subject thoroughly.

  1.  Syllabus and Study Material

Take a print out of the syllabus from the official website and keep it at your study table whenever you start preparing. Follow the syllabus and refer to the NCERT books to cover the entire syllabus. Along with the study of material, attempt quizzes and sectional tests on different topics as per the syllabus on the following

Step 3: Execute Your Plan With Balanced Time Table

Dedicate your 7-8 hours of time daily to the preparation of the examination. Divide the syllabus as per their difficulty level. You may start your preparation starting with the weakest areas. After that, gradually move on to the topics which are stronger. Fix a particular time (most preferably early in the morning) in the day for difficult subjects. Also reserve a time slot for smart breaks. Stick to your plan and revise weekly and practise quizzes and mock tests on the following links

 4- Topic Wise Preparation

Start preparing subject wise which will help you maintain the balance between syllabus and trend of the question asked in the examination. Daily quiz of Mathematics (link is given below) based on the latest trend of the UPSC NDA examination must be practised since there is a dedicated paper of Mathematics. One should finish the syllabus 30 days before the examination. Last 30 days should  be reserved for the practice of previous year question papers and full length mock tests.

 5-Read Newspaper Daily

Make a habit to Read newspaper regularly for an hour and find words to know the synonyms and antonyms. This step will help you to strengthen your vocabulary.  Reading newspapers must be started at least 6 months prior to the actual examination to cover Current Affairs.

6. Multiple Revision

Making daily short notes will help in quick revision. Revise weekly for GAT, it is the only way to retain a vast syllabus. Daily quizzes for each section of GAT are available here.

 6- Time Bound Approach

Decide your deadlines for every topic, give as much time as you can manage to cover your weaker topics and accordingly give time to your stronger topics. Analyse your output weekly through Weekly Sectional Test.

 7- Sleep and Exercise

To be mentally active and retain maximum possible information, you have to be physically fit. For this, you need to take proper rest and you have to do exercise daily.  Play outdoor games once a week to be active and energetic.
