The Uttarakhand Public service Commission has started the recruitment process for the post of Assistant Accountant on 28th October 2022. A candidate for direct recruitment to a post in the Service must be-
(a) a citizen of India, or
(b) a Tibetan refugee who came to India before the 1st day of January, 1962 with the intention of permanently settling in India is, must be, or
(c) a person of Indian origin who has migrated from Pakistan, Burma, Sri Lanka and the East African countries of Kenya, Uganda and the United Republic of Tanzania (formerly Tanganyika and Zanzibar) with the intention of permanently settling in India Are;
Provided that a candidate belonging to categories (b) and (c) above shall be a person in whose favor a certificate of eligibility has been issued by the State Government.
Provided further that it will also be necessary for the candidate belonging to category (b) to obtain the eligibility certificate issued by the Deputy Inspector General of Police, Intelligence Branch, Uttarakhand.
Provided also that if the candidate belongs to the said category (c), the certificate shall not be issued for a period exceeding one year and such candidate shall be placed in service after a period of one year after he acquires the citizenship of India.
To apply for this post, candidates must be between 21 to 42 years of age. To know the relaxation age for special categories, candidates are advised to go through the official recruitment notice.
Candidate should have:
A Bachelor's degree in Commerce or B.B.A (Bachelor in Business Administration) or Post Graduate in Accountancy from a recognized University.
Hindi Typing speed of 4000 key depressions per hour.
Other things being equal, preference in the matter of direct recruitment shall be given to a candidate who has:-
(1) Served in the Territorial Army for a minimum period of two years, or
(2) "B" of the National Cadet Corps or Have obtained "C" certificate.

Note:- Negative marking method will be adopted in the objective type test. For each wrong answer given by the candidate or for more than one answer given by the candidate to the same question (even if one of the given answers is correct), the marks to be awarded for that question shall be A quarter (¼) will be deducted as punishment. The sum of the marks obtained as a penalty will be deducted from the total marks.
Hindi typing test will be taken for the post of Assistant Accountant, in which a question paper will be given to be done in 10 minutes duration
The typing test will be for qualification purposes only.
In Hindi typing, a computer speed of 4000 key depressions per hour is required.
Note:- If the candidate fails to meet the above-mentioned speed requirement, he/she will be considered unqualified for employment.
