UPSC CMS RECRUITMENT 2023:

The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) has recently released an official notification about the upcoming UPSC CMS examination 2023. Being a highly respected organization, the UPSC CMS exam witnesses a significant number of candidates from all across India every year. The main objective of this exam is to recruit medical graduates for various Central Government organizations and services, and it is conducted as per the norms issued by the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, published in the Gazette of India.

UPSC CMS ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA 2023:

The eligibility criteria for the examination are as follows:

Nationality:

Candidates must be either:

(a) A citizen of India, or

(b) A subject of Nepal, or

(c) A subject of Bhutan, or

(d) A Tibetan refugee who came to India before January 1st, 1962, with the intention of permanently settling in India, or

(e) A person of Indian origin who migrated from Pakistan, Burma, Sri Lanka, or the East African countries of Kenya, Uganda, the United Republic of Tanzania, Zambia, Malawi, Zaire, and Ethiopia, or from Vietnam, with the intention of permanently settling in India.

Candidates belonging to categories (b), (c), (d), and (e) must have a certificate of eligibility issued by the Government of India.

Age

Candidates must not have attained the age of 32 years as of August 1st, 2023, i.e., they must have been born on or after August 2nd, 1991. However, for Medical Officers Grade in General Duty Medical Officers Subcadre of Central Health Services, the upper age limit must not exceed 35 years as of August 1st, 2023. The relaxation in age for different categories is given in the table below:-

Educational Qualification

  • To appear in the examination a candidate must have passed the written and practical parts of the final M.B.B.S. Examination.  

  • A candidate who has appeared or has yet to appear at the final M.B.B.S. Examination may also apply.

  • A candidate who has yet to complete the compulsory rotating internship is educationally eligible for admission to the examination but on selection, he/she will be appointed only after he/she has completed the compulsory rotating internship.

UPSC CMS APPLICATION PROCESS 2023:

To apply for the Combined Medical Services Examination 2023, candidates need to complete two parts of the online application process. Firstly, candidates must register themselves by providing their details, and secondly, they must choose their mode of online payment and exam centre before submitting the form.

If you are facing any issues while filling out the application form, follow these steps:

  1. Go to the official website of UPSC and click on the Apply Online tab.

  2. Look for the notification section titled "Online application for various examinations of UPSC."

  3. Click on the Part-I Registration link and enter all the required details after reading the instructions and clicking on Yes.

  4. Upload scanned copies of your photo, signature, and photo ID card in the specified resolution and click on Submit.

  5. Your Registration ID will be generated and sent to your email ID and registered number.

  6. Click on the Part-II Registration link and enter your Registration Number, Date of Birth, and the Captcha code from the image shown on the screen.

  7. Click on Submit to view your application form.

  8. Check all the details entered by you and click on Confirm if everything is correct.

  9. Choose your exam centre and click on Continue.

  10. Click on Save & Continue to make the payment.

  11. Take a screenshot of the payment confirmation for future reference.

Note:- Application fee can be submitted either by remitting the money in any Branch of State Bank of India or by using Visa/Master/RuPay Credit/Debit Card/UPI Payment or by using Internet Banking of any Bank.

UPSC CMS SELECTION PROCESS 2023:

The UPSC CMS exam comprises two stages - the computer-based examination and the personality test. The computer-based exam consists of two papers with a total of 500 marks. Paper 1 covers General Medicine, and Paper 2 covers General Surgery, Paediatrics, and Gynaecology & Obstetrics. Candidates who qualify the computer-based exam are further called for a personality test.

Part-I Written Examination

The candidates will take the written examination in two Papers, each with a maximum of 250 marks. Each Paper will be two hours in duration. 

Part-II Personality Test

Personality test carries 100 marks of such of the candidates who qualify on the results of the written examination.

UPSC CMS SALARY 2023:
