UPSC VARIOUS POST RECRUITMENT 2022:

The Union Public Service Commission has issued an official notification for the recruitment of Archivist (General) in National Archives of India, Ministry of Culture, Specialist Grade III (Paediatrics), Department of Health and Family Welfare, Ministry of Health and Family Welfare and Scientist ‘B’ (Neutron Activation Analysis) in Central Forensic Science Laboratory, Directorate of Forensic Science Services, Ministry of Home Affairs.

ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA OF UPSC VARIOUS POST 2022:

Nationality

A Candidate must be either: 

(a) a citizen of India, or 

(b) a subject of Nepal, or 

(c) a subject of Bhutan, or 

(d) a Tibetan refugee who came over to India before 1st January 1962 with the intention of permanently settling in India, or 

(e) a person of Indian origin who has migrated from Pakistan, Burma, Sri Lanka or East African countries of Kenya, Uganda, the United Republic of Tanzania(formerly Tanganyika and Zanzibar), Zambia, Malawi, Zaire, Ethiopia and Vietnam with the intention of permanently settling in India. Provided that a candidate belonging to categories (b), (c), (d) and (e) above shall be a person in whose favour a certificate of eligibility has been issued by the Government of India.

 Master’s Degree in History with a paper in Modern Indian History from a recognized university or institute. 

(i) Diploma in Archives and Record Management from a recognised university or institute and two years experience in an Archives Office in a supervisory capacity or research or teaching of Modern Indian History at the undergraduate level in a recognised institution or university; 

OR 

(ii) Three years experience in an Archives Office in a supervisory capacity or research or teaching of Modern Indian History at the undergraduate level in a recognised educational institution or university.

(i) English as one of the subject of study at degree level; 

(ii) Diploma or Certificate in Computer Applications or Information Technology; 

(iii) Certificate of proficiency from a recognised university or institute in foreign or other Indian languages besides candidate’s mother tongue.

Specialist Grade III (Paediatrics)

(i) A recognized MBBS degree qualification included in the First Schedule or Second Schedule or Part II of the Third Schedule (other than licentiate qualifications) to the Indian Medical Council Act, 1956, (102 of 1956). Holder of educational qualifications included in Part II of the Third Schedule should also fulfil the conditions specified in sub-section (3) of section 13 of the Indian Medical Council Act, 1956 (102 of 1956). 

(ii) Post-graduate Degree or Diploma in the concerned speciality or Superspeciality mentioned in Section-A or Section-B in Schedule VI of CHS Rules, 2014 and CHS amendment Rules 2019 i.e. Doctor of Medicine (Pediatrics); or Diplomate National Board (Pediatrics); or Diploma in Pediatrics; or Diploma in Child Health.

Three years’ experience in the concerned Speciality or super-speciality after obtaining the first Postgraduate degree or five years’ experience after obtaining the Post-graduate Diploma.


Scientist ‘B’ (Neutron Activation Analysis)

Master's degree in Chemistry or Physics or Forensic Science with Chemistry or Physics as one of the subjects during all three years of Bachelor of Science from a recognised University or Institute.

Three years experience of in analytical methods and research therein in the field of Neutron Activation Analysis from a government-recognised organization or institution. 

One year experience of working in a Forensic Science Laboratory under the Central or State Government or Union Territory administration after obtaining the minimum prescribed educational qualifications.

  5. After clicking the link, fill out your credentials and upload the necessary documents in the needed format.

  6. Submit the form by paying the application fee.

  7. Take a printout of the final submission for future reference. 

Application Fee

  1. Candidates are required to pay a fee of Rs. 25/- (Rupees Twenty five) only either by remitting the money in any branch of the SBI by cash or by using the net banking facility of the SBI or by using the visa/master credit/debit card.

  2. No fee for SC/ST/PwBD/Women candidates of any community. No "fee exemption" is available to Gen/OBC/EWS male candidates and they are required to pay the full prescribed fee.

UPSC VARIOUS POST DUTIES:

Post Name 

Duties 

Archivist (General)

To perform duties like editing, annotating, publication of historical documents, supervising the work of the section for day to day supply and restoration of records and search cases, taking action for accessioning and arranging of records transferred, implementing the various provision of Public Records Act 1993 and Public Records Rules 1997 by way of performing/undertaking appraisal of records, vetting of records retention schedule, an inspection of Departmental Records Rooms, tendering advice on records, providing guidance to research scholars, deliver lectures to trainees, organize exhibitions of documents, supervise and compile the Indexes and preparation of automated reference media of records housed and any work assigned by the DG of archives and senior officers.

Specialist Grade III (Paediatrics)

(i) To conduct and guide research work in the speciality; 

(ii) To render patient care in the speciality; (iii) Any other duties that may be assigned by the authorities from time to time.  

Scientist ‘B’ (Neutron Activation Analysis)

Crime Case Examination, giving evidence in the Court of Law, Crime Scene Examination, providing guidance to the junior scientific staff for case analysis, R&D activities on Forensic Science and imparting training in the respective field of forensic specialization to the trainees from different investigating agencies / forensic science labs and other organizations.
