UPSC 2022 VACANCIES OUT FOR VARIOUS POST:

The Union Public Service Commission has invited the online application for various posts such as Senior Design Officer Grade-I (Engineering), Scientist ‘B’ (Documents), Scientist ‘B’ (Forensic Narcotics), Junior Scientific Officer (Ballistics), Assistant Architect, Assistant Professor (Ayurveda) and Drugs Inspector through Advertisement No. 19 - 2022. ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA FOR UPSC VARIOUS POSTS 2022:

Citizenship

A Candidate must be either: 

(a) a citizen of India, or 

(b) a subject of Nepal, or 

(c) a subject of Bhutan, or 

(d) a Tibetan refugee who came over to India before 1st January 1962 with the intention of permanently settling in India, or 

(e) a person of Indian origin who has migrated from Pakistan, Burma, Sri Lanka or East African countries of Kenya, Uganda, the United Republic of Tanzania(formerly Tanganyika and Zanzibar), Zambia, Malawi, Zaire, Ethiopia and Vietnam with the intention of permanently settling in India. Provided that a candidate belonging to categories (b), (c), (d) and (e) above shall be a person in whose favour a certificate of eligibility has been issued by the Government of India.

Candidates must hold a Degree in Mechanical / Marine Engineering from a recognized University or equivalent*. *Equivalent means any Technical Institutes recognized by AICTE/UGC and not to be construed as educational qualification. 

Candidates should have a Five years practical experience in design / installation /construction of ships.

Scientist ‘B’ (Documents)

Central Forensic Science Laboratory, Directorate of Forensic Science Services, Ministry of Home Affairs

Candidates must hold a Master’s Degree in Chemistry or Physics or Forensic Science with Chemistry or Physics as one of the subjects during all the three years of Bachelor of Science from a recognised University or institute. 

Candidates should have Three years experience of analytical methods and research therein in the field of Documents Examination from a government-recognised organization or institution. 

DESIRABLE: One year experience of working in a Forensic Science Laboratory under the Central or State Government or Union Territory administration after obtaining the minimum prescribed educational qualifications. 

Scientist ‘B’ (Forensic Narcotics)

Candidates must hold a Master's Degree in Chemistry or Biochemistry from recognised University or Institute; 

OR 

Candidates must hold a Master Degree in Forensic Science with Chemistry as one of the subjects during all the three years of Bachelor of Science from recognised University or institute.

Candidates should have Three years experience of analytical methods and research therein in the field of Forensic Narcotics from a government recognised organization or institution.

DESIRABLE: One year experience of working in a Forensic Science Laboratory under the Central or State Government or Union Territory administration after obtaining the minimum prescribed educational qualifications.

Junior Scientific Officer (Ballistics)

Candidates must hold a Masters degree in Physics or Mathematics or Applied Mathematics or Forensic Science with Physics or Mathematics as one of the subjects during all three years of Bachelor of Science from a recognised University or Institute. 


Candidates should have Three years of experience in research and analytical work in the field of Ballistics in any Central and State organization or recognized Institute or University or Forensic Science Laboratories under Central Government and State Government. 

DESIRABLE: Experience of working in a Forensic Science Laboratory.

Assistant Architect

Candidates must hold a Degree in Architecture from a recognized University or Institution and registered with Council of Architecture as Architect.

Assistant Professor (Ayurveda)

Prasuti Tantra evum Stri Roga in A & U Tibbia College and Hospital, Directorate of AYUSH, Health & Family Welfare Department, Government of National Capital Territory of Delhi 

 (i) Degree in Ayurveda Medicine from a University established by law or statutory board/faculty/examining body of Indian Medicine or equivalent as recognized under Indian Medicine Central Council Act 1970. 

(ii) A Post Graduate Degree in the subject/speciality concerned included in the schedule of the Indian Medicine Central Council Act 1970. 

Note: In case of non-availability of post-graduate degree holder teachers in the required speciality of Ayurveda, the Doctor of Medicine in the allied disciplines will be considered. The allied subject is ShalyaTantra. 

DESIRABLE: Reading, Writing and speaking knowledge of Sanskrit.

Drugs Inspector

Drugs Control Department, Health & Family welfare Department, Government of National Capital Territory of Delhi

Degree in Pharmacy or Pharmaceutical Science or Medicine with specialization in Clinical Pharmacology or Microbiology from a University established in India by law : Provided that only those Inspectors:- 

(i) Who have not less than eighteen months’ experience in the manufacture of at least one of the substances specified in schedule “C”; or 

(ii) Who have not less than eighteen months’ experience in testing of at least one of the substances in schedule “C” in a laboratory approved for this purposed by the licensing authority; or 

(iii) Who have gained experience of not less than three years in the inspection of firms manufacturing any of the substances specified in schedule “C” during the tenure of their services as Drugs Inspectors; shall be authorized to inspect the manufacture of the substances mentioned in schedule “C” [Provided further that the requirement as to the academic qualification shall not apply to persons appointed as Inspectors on or before the 18th day of October, 1993.]

  2. On the homepage, click on the link “One-time registration (OTR)” and register yourself to apply for the post.

  3. After registration, apply for the desired post by filling in your details carefully in the application form.

  4. Upload your required documents, pay the application fee and submit the form.

  5. Take a printout of the final application form for future reference.

Note: Candidates who wish to apply for more than one post should apply separately for each post and pay the fee for each post in the prescribed manner.

SELECTION PROCESS OF UPSC VARIOUS POST 2022:

The Interview is the only part in the selection process for these positions. Candidates who have been selected for interviews based on the information in their online applications must send self-attested copies of any necessary documents or certificates that support the statements they have made in their applications as and when requested by the Commission.

Interview:- The printout of the online application, the originals of the following documents/certificates, self-attested copies, and other items specified in the summons letter for the interview must be presented at the time of the interview; otherwise, the candidate would not be allowed to appear in the Interview and deducting the Commission's contribution toward travel costs. -

1. Matriculation/10th Standard or equivalent certificate indicating date of birth, or mark sheet of Matriculation/10th Standard or equivalent issued by Central/State Board indicating Date of Birth in support of their claim of age

2. Degree/Diploma certificate along with marksheets pertaining to all the academic years as proof of educational qualification claimed. 

3. Order/ letter in respect of equivalent Educational Qualifications claimed, indicating the Authority (with number and date) under which it has been so treated, in respect of equivalent clause in Essential Qualifications, 

4. Certificate(s) in the prescribed proforma from the Head(s) of Organization(s)/Department(s) for the entire experience claimed, clearly mentioning the duration of employment (date, month & year) indicating the basic pay and consolidated pay.

5. Caste certificate by candidate seeking reservation as SC/ ST/ OBC. 

6. A declaration in the prescribed format by candidate seeking reservation as OBC, that he/she does not belong to the creamy layer on the crucial date, in addition to the community certificate (OBC). 

7. Certificate of Disability in prescribed proforma issued by the competent authority to Persons with Benchmark Disabilities (PwBD) persons eligible for appointment to the post on the basis of prescribed standards of Medical Fitness. 

8. A candidate who claims a change in name after matriculation on marriage or remarriage or divorce etc. the following documents shall be submitted:-

a. In case of marriage of women - Photocopy of Husband’s passport showing names of spouses or an attested copy of marriage certificate issued by the Registrar of Marriage or an Affidavit from husband and wife along with a joint photograph duly sworn before the Oath Commissioner;

b. In case of re-marriage of women - Divorce Deed/Death certificate as the case may be in respect of the first spouse; and photocopy of the present husband’s passport showing names of spouse or an attested copy of marriage certificate issued by the Registrar of Marriage or an Affidavit from the husband and wife along with joint photograph duly sworn before the Oath Commissioner.

c. In case of divorce of women - Certified copy of Divorce Decree and Deed Poll/Affidavit duly sworn before the Oath Commissioner. 

d. In other circumstances for change of name for both male and female - Deed Poll/Affidavit duly sworn before the Oath Commissioner and paper cuttings of two leading daily newspapers in original (One daily newspaper should be of the area of applicants permanent and present address or nearby area) and Gazette Notification.
