West Bengal Police Recruitment Board has issued an official notification regarding the recruitment of a Lady Constable in West Bengal Police -2023. Through this recruitment drive, 1420 vacant seats are going to be filled. Interested candidates can apply for the same by visiting the official website from 23.04.2023 (from 00:01 hrs.) to 22.05.2023 (till 23:59 hrs).

Candidates must be a Citizen of India.
The applicant must not be less than 18 (eighteen) years old and must not be more than 30 (Thirty) years old as on 01/01/2023. Relaxation in age is also applicable to some special category, the details for the same is tabulated below:-

Note:- The existing government rules allow for relaxation of the upper age limit for NVF and Home Guards Personnel serving in West Bengal Police. It should be noted, however, that age relaxation is not applicable to Civic Volunteers.
To be eligible for the position, the applicant must have cleared the Madhyamik Examination conducted by the West Bengal Board of Secondary Education or an equivalent exam.
Additionally, the applicant should be proficient in speaking, reading, and writing the Bengali language, except for permanent residents of hill sub-divisions of Darjeeling and Kalimpong Districts who are exempted from this provision.
For applicants from the hill sub-divisions of Darjeeling and Kalimpong Districts, the requirements outlined in the West Bengal Official Language Act, 1961 will apply.
To apply successfully for the WB Lady Constable Recruitment 2023, candidates should follow the steps given below:
Visit the official website of the West Bengal Police Recruitment Board (WBPRB).
Click on the “Recruitment tab” provided on the official website.
Choose the “Recruitment to the post of Lady Constables in West Bengal Police 2023” option and select the Apply Online tab.
Fill out the application form carefully by entering your credentials.
Upload all the necessary documents in the preferred size and format.
Pay the application fees.
After verifying the details, submit the application form and take a printout for future reference.

Note:- Scheduled Caste/Scheduled Tribe applicants from West Bengal are exempted from paying any application fees, but are required to pay a processing fee of Rs. 20/-. Shortlisted candidates must present their SC/ST certificates issued by the competent authority during the verification process at the time of the interview, or their candidacy will be considered invalid from the beginning.
The West Bengal Police will fill the vacancies for Lady Constable through a selection process that involves a Preliminary Written Test, which acts as a screening exam, followed by a Physical Measurement Test (PMT), Physical Efficiency Test (PET), Final Written Examination, and an Interview conducted by the West Bengal Police Recruitment Board.
The examination will be conducted in a Multiple Choice Question (MCQ) format, and it will be of qualifying nature.
The question paper will consist of 100 objective-type questions, with four answer choices, each carrying one mark.
The duration of the exam will be one hour, and the question paper will be available in two languages - Bengali and Nepali.

Note:- It is important to note that there will be negative marking for each incorrect answer in the exam. For every incorrect answer, 1/4th of the allotted marks for that particular question will be deducted.
After qualifying in the Preliminary Written Test, the physical standards, including height and weight, of the candidates will be tested using Electronic Machines.
Candidates who qualify in PMT will be allowed to take part in PET as furnished below.

The examination will be of qualifying nature and will be conducted in a Multiple Choice Question (MCQ) format.
