Focus area:

• Make a Study Schedule- Many students apply for exams but then fail to study systematically. A proper timetable is required for the systematic study. So, first and foremost, create a timetable that covers all of the topics covered in the exam.

• Read Newspapers: Newspapers will be very useful for the current affairs section in general Knowledge.

• Previous Year Question Papers: Review the previous year's question papers to get a better idea of the level of the exam and the types of questions asked. 

• Keep track of time: When taking the mock test, make sure to do so during the allotted time slot.

Know the Exam Pattern:

The exam is divided into the following four sections:

• Any incorrect answer in the UP Lekhpal will result in a negative marking of 1/4 (0.25) marks.

• The examination will last 90 minutes in total (1 Hour and 30 Minutes).

• For the UP Lekhpal Exam, there will be no interviews.

• Only objective-type questions will be asked in each section.

• There will be no negative marking for unanswered questions.

Prepare with Smart Schedule: 

You must divide your preparation into three parts, namely 7 days, 15 days, and 21 days. Make sure to allot enough time for each subject. Along with the revision plan, practise previous years' papers, and practice mock tests as well. Spend extra time on areas where you believe you are weak.

Analyze the entire syllabus:

It is crucial that you comprehend the syllabus. A syllabus plays an important part in the preparation of any exam. Make certain that your syllabus is divided in such a way that no single topic is overlooked. If you find any topic difficult, you should give more time to that topic/section and less time should be given to the easy subjects, yet you should not neglect the easy subject as this may lead to lower your rank.

General Hindi: 

• This section contains 25 multiple-choice questions, each worth one mark.

• This section takes less time to complete and allows candidates to score higher.

• If you have never had Hindi as a subject in your academics, start with the basics.

• Begin with Hindi grammar, as this will be the source of many questions.

• If you put in enough effort, Hindi can be a scoring section.

• Topics to focus more: अलंकार, रस, समास,  लोकोक्तियाँ एवं मुहावरे, तत्सम एवं तदभव, सन्धियाँ, वाक्यांशों के लिए शब्द निर्माण, वाक्य संशोधन – लिंग, वचन, कारक, वर्तनी, त्रुटि से सम्बंधित अनेकार्थी शब्द।

Rural Development and Rural Society:

• Read the text from the government's website.

• Make a list of the various government-run schemes in Uttar Pradesh.

• To gain a better understanding of rural development, try a few questions.

• Revise more frequently, as the dates of UP-specific schemes may be requested.

• Read about rural development on the UP government's website.

Mathematics: 

• To establish a level of comfort, practise each topic at varying difficulty levels.

• Take full-length mock tests to develop and fine-tune your exam-taking strategy and to better understand your strengths and weaknesses.

• Begin by practising basic concepts and topics such as percentage, profit and loss, SI & CI, and average.

• Examine previous year's papers to get a sense of the level of questions in the quant section.

• You can save the calculative questions for later while taking the exam. It is not a good idea to spend too much time on a single question.

• You must put in a lot of practice time if you want to improve your speed when solving numerical problems.

• Topics to focus more on Decimal and Fractions, Ratio and Proportion, LCM HCF, Relationship between numbers, Percentages, Square roots, Averages, Interest (Simple and Compound), Profit and Loss, Triangle & Pythagoras Theorem, Rectangle, Square, Trapezium,

General Knowledge: 

• The General Knowledge section will consist of one-liner fact-based questions.

• A number of questions from the General Science section ask the same thing. As a result, candidates can devote more time to studying General Science.
