It is good to know that the SSC CGL Notification 2023 has been released and the registration process has started. The SSC CGL exam is highly competitive and attracts a large number of candidates every year. The exam is conducted to recruit candidates for non-technical Group ‘B’ and Group ‘C’ non-gazetted posts in various ministries and departments of the Government of India. Candidates who are interested in appearing for the SSC CGL exam should visit the official website and carefully read the notification and eligibility criteria before registering. They should also start their preparation early to increase their chances of success.

The online application window is open from April 3rd to May 3rd, 2023, and the exam is open to graduate candidates. It is important for candidates to carefully read and understand the eligibility criteria before applying. They should also be aware of the application fee and other important dates related to the exam. SSC CGL ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA 2023

Nationality 

  • A candidate must be either: 

  1. a citizen of India, or 

  2. a subject of Nepal, or 

  3. a subject of Bhutan, or 

  4. a person of Indian origin who has migrated from Pakistan, Burma, Sri Lanka, East African Countries of Kenya, Uganda, the United Republic of Tanzania (Formerly Tanganyika and Zanzibar), Zambia, Malawi, Zaire, Ethiopia and Vietnam with the intention of permanently settling in India. 

  • Provided that a candidate belonging to categories (2), (3) and (4) above shall be a person in whose favour a certificate of eligibility has been issued by the Government of India. 

  • A candidate in whose case a certificate of eligibility is necessary may be admitted to the Examination but the offer of appointment will be given only after the necessary eligibility certificate has been issued to him (hereinafter may be read as ‘him/ her’) by the Government of India.

SSC CGL APPLICATION PROCESS

The SSC CGL 2022 application link has been activated on the Commission's website. Interested candidates can apply from 3rd April to 3rd May 2023, by following the steps given below:

  1. Visit the official website of SSC.

  2. Click on the "Apply" tab on the homepage and select the link for the Combined Graduate Level Examination 2022.

  3. Enter your login credentials and captcha, and click on the login button.

  4. Once logged in, navigate to the SSC CGL Exam tab and click on the "Apply Now" button.

  5. Fill in all the required information in the application form and select your preferred exam centre.

  6. Double-check all the details you entered in the application form, as changes will not be allowed after submission.

  7. Upload your photograph and signature as per the guidelines provided by SSC.

  8. Pay the application fee online to complete the SSC CGL application process.

It is recommended to double-check all the details before final submission, as any mistakes or discrepancies in the application form may lead to rejection. Candidates should also keep a copy of the application form and payment receipt for future reference.

Note: The SSC CGL application fee can be paid using various methods. Online payment modes include BHIM UPI, Net Banking, and debit/credit cards such as Visa, Mastercard, Maestro, and RuPay. Alternatively, candidates can also pay the fee in cash at SBI branches by generating an SBI Challan.

SSC CGL SELECTION PROCESS 2023

The SSC CGL 2022 Selection Process is divided into two parts: Tier II and Tier II. 

  • To pass the CGL Exam, a candidate must pass each stage one by one.

  • Tier-II will include conducting Paper-I, Paper-II and Paper-III in separate shift(s) or day(s).

  • Minimum qualifying marks in Tier-I, Section-I, Section-II & Module-I of Section-III of Paper-I of Tier-II, Paper-II & Paper-III of Tier-II Examination are as follows:


    • 1 UR: 30% 

    • 2 OBC/ EWS: 25%

    • 3 All other categories: 20% 

  • The maximum percentage of errors allowed (i.e. minimum qualifying standards) in Module-II of Section-III of Paper-I of Tier-II Examination i.e. DEST are as follows:


    • 1 UR: 20% 

    • 2 OBC/ EWS: 25% 

    • 3 All other categories: 30%

  • Based on the marks scored in Tier-I i.e. Computer Based Examination, candidates will be shortlisted, category-wise, to appear in Tier-II Examination. 

  • Separate cut-offs will be fixed for Paper-II of Tier-II (i.e. for the post of Junior Statistical Officer), Paper-III of Tier-II (i.e. for the posts of Assistant Audit Officer and Assistant Accounts Officer) and for Paper-I of Tier-II (i.e. for all other posts).

  • Tier-II Examination will be conducted for all the candidates qualified in Tier-I. 

  • In Tier-II, all the candidates will be required to appear in all three sections of Paper-I. However, only those candidates shortlisted for the posts of Junior Statistical Officer and Assistant Audit Officer/ Assistant Accounts Officer will be required to appear in Paper-II and Paper-III respectively.

  • Based on the aggregate performance in Section-I and Section-II of Paper-I of Tier-II Examination, candidates will be shortlisted for evaluation of Section-III of Paper-I of Tier-II Examination. The candidates who are not qualified in Section-I + Section-II will not be eligible for evaluation of Section-III and they will not be considered for the further selection process. 

  • Section-III of Paper-I of Tier-II is qualifying in nature
