NDA 2 EXAM RECRUITMENT 2023
On May 17th, 2023, the Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) released the UPSC NDA Exam 2 2023 exam notification on 17th May 2023. This prestigious National Defence Academy Examination is conducted twice a year under the administration of the UPSC. The NDA Exam is an offline, written examination that can be taken in either Hindi or English language.
The NDA 2 2023 Examination, scheduled for September 3rd, 2023, serves as a gateway for admission to the Army, Navy, and Air Force wings of the NDA for the 152nd Course, as well as the 114th Indian Naval Academy Course (INAC) commencing from July 2nd, 2024. Successful candidates who complete their training at the National Defence Academy become eligible for recruitment into the Army, Navy, and Air Force, subject to their performance in the entrance exam, the SSB Interview, and the medical examination.

NDA 2 EXAM 2023 ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA
Nationality:
To be eligible for the NDA Exam, a candidate must fulfill the following criteria:
(i) Must be an unmarried male/female.
(ii) Must be a citizen of India, or
(iii) Must be a subject of Nepal, or
(iv) Must be a person of Indian origin who has migrated from Pakistan, Burma, Sri Lanka, or East African Countries of Kenya, Uganda, the United Republic of Tanzania, Zambia, Malawi, Zaire, Ethiopia, or Vietnam with the intention of permanently settling in India.
UPSC NDA & NA Age Limit:
For the NDA Exam recruitment, the age limit is a crucial factor. The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) strictly follows specific guidelines regarding dates. Only unmarried male/female candidates who were born between January 2nd, 2005, and January 1st, 2008, are eligible for this recruitment.
Educational Qualification For UPSC NDA & NA:
To take the NDA/NA exam, candidates must have completed at least their 12th grade. The following are the specific NDA education qualifications required:
For the Army Wing of NDA | 12th Class pass of the 10+2 pattern of School Education or equivalent examination conducted by a State Education Board or a University. |
For Air Force and Naval Wings of NDA & for the 10+2 Cadet Entry Scheme at the Indian Naval Academy | 12th Class pass with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics of the 10+2 pattern of School Education or equivalent conducted by a State Education Board or a University. |

Physical Standards:
Physical Standards for Army & Air Force
Male
The minimum acceptable height is 157cms (162.5 cms. for the Air Force), however, certain exceptions are allowed to candidates based on the region they belong to.
For region-wise height exemption, refer to the official notification.
Female
The minimum height required for entry into the Armed Forces for female Candidates is 152 cm. The minimum height requirement for the Flying Branch is 163 cm.
Physical Standards for Navy
Aspirants who wish to join Navy are required to fulfil the following requirements -
Sitting Height: The minimum of 81.50 cms and maximum is 96cms.
Leg Length: The minimum of 99cms and maximum of 120cms
Thigh Length: Maximum of 64 cms

NDA 2 EXAM 2023 APPLICATION PROCESS
To begin the NDA Exam application process, please follow the steps outlined below:
Visit the official website of the Union Public Service Commission (UPSC).
Complete the One Time Registration (OTR) process by providing the necessary information.
Proceed to fill out the Part I Online Application form. Ensure that you complete all the required fields before clicking on the Submit button.
After successful submission, a unique Registration ID will be generated. Make note of this ID for future reference.
Proceed to pay the required application fees through the provided payment options.
Once the payment is made, return to the UPSC website.
Move on to Part II Registration and provide all the necessary details as instructed.
Double-check all the information you have entered in Part II before submitting the form.
After submitting Part II, take a printout of the application form for your records and future reference.
Application Fees:
Candidates from the general and OBC categories must pay a fee of Rs. 100/-. Women, SC, and ST candidates are exempt from paying the application fee.
Note:- Candidates can pay the application fee by remitting the money in any Branch of the State Bank of India by cash, by using Visa/Master/RuPay Credit/Debit Card/UPI Payment, or by using Internet banking of any Bank.
NDA 2 EXAM 2023 SELECTION PROCESS
The selection process comprises the following four stages:
1. Written Test
2. SSB Interview
3. Medical Examination
4. Merit List
Note:
Two-stage selection procedure based on Psychological Aptitude Test and Intelligence Test has been introduced at Selection Centres/Air Force Selection Boards/Naval Selection Boards. All the candidates will be put to stage-one test on first day of reporting at Selection Centres/Air Force Selection Boards/Naval Selection Boards. Only those candidates who qualify at stage one will be admitted to the second stage/remaining tests. Those candidates who qualify stage II will be required to submit the Original Certificates along with one photocopy each of : (i) Original Matriculation pass certificate or equivalent in support of date of birth, (ii) Original 10+2 pass certificate or equivalent in support of educational qualification.

The papers in all subjects will only contain objective-type questions.
The Mathematics question papers (Test Booklets) and Part B’ of the General Ability Test will be set bilingually in Hindi and English.
The Commission has the authority to set qualifying marks in any or all of the examination subjects.
There will be a negative marking for the wrong answer.
