INDIAN ARMY SSC TECH RECRUITMENT 2023:

Indian Army SSC Tech Notification 2023 has been issued for the 62nd Short Service Commission (Tech) Men April 2024 & 33rd Short Service Commission (Tech) Women Course April 2024. Applications are invited from eligible unmarried Male and unmarried Female Engineering Graduates and also from Widows of Indian Armed Forces Defence Personnel who died in harness for grant of Short Service Commission (SSC) in the Indian Army. The course will commence in Apr 2024 at the Officers Training Academy (OTA), Chennai, Tamil Nadu.

INDIAN ARMY SSC TECH ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA 2023:

Indian Army SSC Tech Eligibility Criteria 2023 for the candidate to apply for the positions mentioned are as follows:

Nationality

The candidate must fulfill one of the following criteria: 

(i) A citizen of India 

(ii) A subject of Nepal 

(iii) A person of Indian origin who has migrated from Pakistan, Burma, Sri Lanka, and the East African countries of Kenya, Uganda, the United Republic of Tanzania, Zambia, Malawi, Zaire, Ethiopia, and Vietnam with the intention of permanently settling in India. Candidates belonging to categories (ii) and (iii) must have a certificate of eligibility issued by the Government of India. However, Gorkha subjects of Nepal do not require a certificate of eligibility.

Indian Army SSC Tech Age Limit

For SSC(Tech)-62 Men and SSCW(Tech)-33 Women: The candidate should be between 20 and 27 years of age as of 01 Apr 2024. Candidates must be born between 02 Apr 1997 and 01 Apr 2004 (both days inclusive). 

For Widows of Indian Armed Forces Defence Personnel who Died in Harness Only: SSCW (Non Tech) [Non UPSC] and SSCW(Tech): The maximum age limit is 35 years as of 01 Apr 2024.

Indian Army SSC Tech Educational Qualification

Candidates who have passed the required Engineering Degree course or are in the final year of the Engineering Degree course are eligible to apply. 

Note:- Candidates in the final year should be able to provide proof of passing the Engineering Degree Examination, including marksheets of all semesters/years, by 01 Apr 2024. They must also produce the Engineering Degree Certificate within 12 weeks from the commencement of training at the Officers Training Academy (OTA), Chennai, Tamil Nadu. Candidates who fail to produce the requisite degree certificate will be inducted on an Additional Bond Basis for the recovery of the training cost at OTA, as well as stipend, pay, and allowances paid.

For Widows of Indian Armed Forces Defence Personnel who Died in Harness: 

(i) SSCW (Non Tech) (Non UPSC): Graduation in any discipline. 

(ii) SSCW (Tech): B.E./B. Tech in any Engineering stream.

INDIAN ARMY SSC TECH COST OF TRAINING:

The entire cost of training at OTA is at Government expense. In case the Lady/ Gentleman Cadet is withdrawn from training academy due to reasons other than medical ground or the reasons not beyond his/ her control, he/ she will be liable to refund cost of training @ ₹ 15055/- per week (as on 2022) and as notified from time to time (for the period of candidate’s stay at the Officers Training Academy, Chennai/Cadet Training Wing). The Cost of training is borne by State, will be recovered from candidates withdrawing for personal reasons

To apply for the Indian Army's Officer Entry program, follow these steps:

  1. Visit the official website of the Indian Army.

  2. Click on the "Officer Entry Apply/Login" tab.

  3. On the next page, click on "Registration" to create a new account.

  4. Fill in the required details and complete the registration process.

  5. Once registered, go back to the dashboard and click on "Apply Online."

  6. Look for the "Apply" button next to the "Short Service Commission Technical Course" option.

  7. Click on "Apply" to access the application form.

  8. Fill in all the necessary information accurately and completely.

  9. Review the filled-in form to ensure accuracy and correctness.

  10. Submit the application form electronically.

  11. After submitting, it is advisable to take a printout of the application for future reference.

Dearness Allowance

Admissible at the same rates and under the same condition as are applicable to the civilian personnel from time to time.

Military Service Pay (MSP)

Officers holding the rank of Lieutenant (Lt) to Brigadier (Brig) are entitled to a fixed monthly Military Service Pay (MSP) of ₹15,500/-. This amount is fixed and remains consistent.

Fixed Stipend for Cadet Training:

During their training period, gentlemen cadets will receive a fixed stipend of ₹56,100/- per month.
