ITBP CONSTABLE DRIVER RECRUITMENT 2023:

ITBP Constable Driver Notification 2023 has been issued by the Indo-Tibetan Border Police Force (ITBPF) for the recruitment of Constable (Driver) Group 'C' Non-Gazetted (Non-Ministerial) positions. A total of 458 vacancies are available, and online applications are invited from eligible male Indian citizens, including subjects of Nepal and Bhutan. The selected candidates will initially be appointed on a temporary basis but may have the opportunity for permanent employment within the ITBPF.


Interested individuals who meet the eligibility criteria can submit their applications through the official website of the ITBP. The application window will be open from 27th June to 26th July 2023. It's important to note that the appointed candidates may be posted anywhere in India or abroad.

Upon appointment, the selected candidates will be bound by the ITBPF Act of 1992, Rules of 1994, and other relevant government regulations and instructions that may apply from time to time. It is strongly recommended that applicants carefully read through this article and understand all the exam-related information before proceeding with their application.

ITBP CONSTABLE ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA 2023:

Age Limit 

Candidates applying for the ITBP Constable (Driver) position should ensure that they fall within the age range of 21 to 27 years. However, certain categories of eligible candidates may be eligible for age relaxation. The specific details of age relaxation for different categories are as follows:

Only those OBC candidates who fall under Non Creamy Layer (NCL) status will be given benefit of relaxation in various criteria who have submitted OBC certificate prescribed by Central Government and specifies status of candidate belonging to particular OBC community along with declaration of his non creamy layer status as defined in Government of India, Department of Personnel & Training OM No. 36012/22/93- Estt(SCT) dated 08/09/1993 and modified vide Govt of India, Department of Personnel & Training OM No. 36033/3/2004-Estt(Res) dated 09/03/2004 and 14/10/2008 and 36033/1/2013-Estt(Res) dated 27/05/2013.  

Ex-Servicemen (Unreserved/General)

3 years after deduction of the military service rendered from the actual age. 

Ex-Servicemen (OBC)

6 years (3 years + 3 years) after deduction of the military service rendered from the actual age.

Ex-Servicemen (SC/ST)

8 years (3 years + 5 years) after deduction of the military service rendered from the actual age.

Upto 40 years in accordance with the instructions or orders issued by the Central Government.

Children and dependent of victims KILLED in the 1984 riots OR communal riots of 2002 in Gujarat.

ITBP Constable Driver Educational Qualification 

To be eligible for the ITBP Constable (Driver) position, candidates must fulfill the following educational and licensing requirements:

i) Candidates should have completed Matriculation or 10th grade from a recognized Board or Institution. The qualification obtained should be equivalent to the 10th standard recognized by the relevant authority.

ii) Applicants must possess a valid Heavy Vehicle Driving License. The license should be authorized and recognized by the appropriate transport authority.

ITBP CONSTABLE APPLICATION PROCESS 2023:

To apply for the ITBP Constable (Driver) position, please follow the steps below:

  • Visit the official website of the ITBP.

  • On the homepage, locate and click on the "Login" option.

  • You will be directed to a new page.

  • If you have already registered for ITBP, log in using your registration number. Enter your login credentials, such as your registration number and password, to proceed.

  • If you are a new candidate, you will need to register first. Look for the registration or sign-up option on the page.

  • Click on the registration option and provide the required details, such as your name, contact information, and email address. Create a unique username and password for your account.

  • After successful registration or login, you will be redirected to the application form.

  • Fill in all the necessary details as per the instructions provided. Ensure that you enter accurate and valid information.

  • Upload the required documents in the specified size and format. Commonly requested documents may include a scanned copy of your photograph, signature, educational certificates, and other supporting documents.

  • Double-check all the information provided and the uploaded documents to ensure accuracy.

  • Finally, submit the application form before the specified deadline.

The examination fee for the ITBP Constable (Driver) position should be paid through the online payment gateway system. It is important to note that the fee once paid will not be refunded under any circumstances. Therefore, candidates should ensure that they fulfill all the eligibility criteria and review their application thoroughly before making the payment. Payment made through modes other than the online mode will not be accepted, and the applications of such candidates will be rejected outright. In such cases, the payment made will stand forfeited, and no refund or adjustment will be provided.

ITBP CONSTABLE SELECTION PROCESS 2023:

The ITBP selection process will comprise four phases:-

Phase 1:- PET & PST

Phase 2:- Written Examination 

Phase 3:- Document Verification 

Phase 4:- Medical Examination

ITBP CONSTABLE EXAM PATTERN 2023:

Phase 1:- Physical Efficiency Test (PET)

i) The events of the PET are as follows:-.  

Race 1.6 Kms 

To be completed within 7:30 minutes. 

11 Feet long jump

03 Chances to be given. 

3½ Feet high jump 

03 Chances to be given. 

ii) No marks will be awarded for this test and PET shall be qualifying in nature. Candidates have to qualify for each event of PET, those who do not qualify shall be eliminated. 

Physical Standard Test (PST)

After qualifying the Physical Efficiency Test (PET), candidates will undergo a screening process for height, chest, and weight measurements. It is essential for candidates to meet the required physical measurement criteria as specified by the ITBP. Candidates who do not fulfill the prescribed physical measurement standards will be eliminated from further consideration at this stage.

Phase 2:- Written Examination 

The question paper pattern for the OMR/CBT-based written examination will be as follows:  

  • The written examination will be conducted for 100 marks.

  • The questions will be in the form of objective type Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs).

  • Each correct answer will carry one mark.

Phase 3:- Document Verification

Phase 4:- Medical Examination 

Shortlisted candidates will be required to undergo DME to assess their fitness. The DME of the candidates will be conducted in terms of Uniform Guidelines for Recruitment Medical Examination for GOs and NGOs in CAPFs and AR issued vide MHA U.O. No. A.VI-1/2014-Rectt(SSB) dated 20.05.2015 and as amended from time to time by the Government.

ITBP CONSTABLE SALARY STRUCTURE 2023:

The pay scale of ITBP Constable is Level-3 in the Pay Matrix i.e. Rs. 21700–69100 (as per 7th CPC). The post will carry Dearness Allowance, Ration Money Allowance, Special Compensatory Allowance (while posted in specified border areas), free accommodation or HRA, Transport Allowance, Leave Travel Concession and Free Medical Facilities and any other allowance as admissible in the Force from time to time under the Rules/instructions. Moreover, on appointment, the candidates will be eligible for pension benefits as per the "New Restructured Defined Contributory Pension Scheme" applicable to new entrants in Central Government services from 1st January 2004.
