The Union Public Service Commission has announced the UPSC Combined Defence Services Examination (II), 2022 results on April 21, 2023. The results were based on the CDS (II) exam conducted by the UPSC in September 2022 and the SSB interviews held by the Services Selection Board of the Ministry of Defence for admission to the 155th (DE) Course of Indian Military Academy, Dehradun; Indian Naval Academy, Ezhimala, Kerala and Air Force Academy, Hyderabad (Pre-Flying) Training Course i.e. No. 214 F(P) Course.

There were 100 vacancies for the Indian Military Academy (including 13 reserved for NCC ‘C’ Certificate holders), 22 for Indian Naval Academy (including 3 reserved for NCC ‘C’ Certificate holders) and 32 for Air Force Academy (including 3 reserved for NCC ‘C’ Certificate holders).

The Commission had recommended 2610, 959 and 588 candidates as qualified in the written test for admission to the Indian Military Academy, Indian Naval Academy and Air Force Academy, respectively. The number of candidates who finally qualified after the SSB test conducted by Army Head Quarters can be checked on the UPSC website.

It should be noted that the medical examination results were not considered in preparing these lists. The verification of the date of birth and educational qualifications of the candidates is still underway by the Army Headquarters, hence, the candidature of all these candidates is provisional.

Candidates are advised to forward their certificates in original, along with attested photocopies, to Army Headquarters/Naval Headquarters/Air Headquarters as per their first choice. They should also inform the respective headquarters in case of any change in their address.

The marks obtained by the candidates will be available on the UPSC website after the final result of the Officers’ Training Academy (OTA) for Combined Defence Services Examination (II), 2022 is declared. Candidates can contact the Facilitation Counter near Gate ‘C’ of the Commission’s Office for any further information.
