WHICH CONSTABLE POST TO CHOOSE?:

Hello Aspirants!

Most of you want to join the police force as a constable and preparing for that as well. Let us now give you complete information about the best options available for you. You can join as a constable in Uttar Pradesh Police, however, if you are a domicile of Uttar Pradesh you will get the benefit of relaxation in the upper age limit. While the candidates who do not belong to the state will be treated as general candidates. Whereas while applying for the Delhi Police no such domicile restrictions follow as it comes under the central government (Home Ministry of India), the same is followed in the General Duty Constable Exam which is conducted by the Staff Selection Commission.

The Delhi police system has a police commissioner system in which the police have certain powers under the Crpc acts and the police commissioner is the chief of the Delhi police force. While UP Police follow the traditional policing system, with powers of crpc and executive magistrates appointed by the state government such as DM, ADM, and SDM. The police chief is referred to as the DGP (Director General of Police). The Delhi police come directly under the Union government of India's MHA (Ministry of Home Affairs). While UP Police report to the state government. Delhi Police is far more advanced than UP Police, which makes sense given that it is the country's capital force. Whereas, the GD Constables are in charge of a variety of critical duties, such as

  • Working as an escort or guard.

  • Overseeing all the activities in the absence of the sub-inspector and assistant sub-inspector.
