Tropex 2023' maritime exercise conducted by the Indian Navy recently in the Indian Ocean region.

Important Points: 

• The TROPEX exercise is conducted once every two years.
• The TROPEX maritime exercise has seen the participation of units of the Indian Navy as well as weapons, ships and aircraft belonging to the Indian Army, Indian Air Force and Coast Guard.
• The aim of the exercise is to test the combat readiness of the Navy and safeguard national interests in the maritime domain as well as maintain stability and peace in the Indian Ocean region.
• The first exercise of maritime surveillance took place in January 2019. It is also known as the biggest war game of the Indian Navy.

भारतीय नौसेना द्वारा हाल ही में हिंद महासागर क्षेत्र में ट्रोपेक्स 2023 समुद्री अभ्यास आयोजित किया गया है।

• TROPEX अभ्यास हर दो साल में एक बार आयोजित किया जाता है।
• TROPEX समुद्री अभ्यास में भारतीय नौसेना की इकाइयों के साथ-साथ भारतीय सेना, भारतीय वायु सेना और तटरक्षक बल के हथियारों, जहाजों और विमानों की भागीदारी देखी गई है।
• अभ्यास का उद्देश्य नौसेना की युद्ध तैयारी का परीक्षण करना और समुद्री क्षेत्र में राष्ट्रीय हितों की रक्षा के साथ-साथ हिंद महासागर क्षेत्र में स्थिरता और शांति बनाए रखना है।
•  समुद्री निगरानी का पहला अभ्यास जनवरी 2019 में  हुआ था। इसे भारतीय नौसेना के सबसे बड़े युद्ध खेल के रूप में भी जाना जाता है।

R Vishnu Prasad has been conferred with the most prestigious scientific honor Indian Achievers Award for the year 2022 by Information and Broadcasting Minister Anurag Thakur at Vigyan Bhawan in New Delhi.

A special war exercise "Ops Alert" was conducted by  the Border Security Force (BSF).

Important Points

• Border Security Force conducts exercise "Operation Alert" to enhance security along India-Pakistan border in Gujarat's Kutch district and Rajasthan's Barmer.
• The aim of the exercise was to thwart "any evil intention of anti-national elements" during the  Republic Day celebrations.
• BSF carried out special operations in the depth areas as well as in the creek and 'Harami Nalla' as part of the exercise.

Border Security Force (BSF)

• The Border Security Force was founded  on 1 December 1965 after the Indo-Pakistani War of 1965.
• The Border Security Force comes under the Union Ministry of Home Affairs.
• It is also referred as the 'first line of defence' of the country.

• सीमा सुरक्षा बल ने गुजरात के कच्छ जिले और राजस्थान के बाड़मेर में भारत-पाकिस्तान सीमा पर सुरक्षा बढ़ाने के लिए  "ऑपरेशन अलर्ट" अभ्यास किया।
• अभ्यास का उद्देश्य गणतंत्र दिवस समारोह के दौरान "राष्ट्र-विरोधी तत्वों के किसी भी बुरे इरादे" को विफल करना था  ।
• बीएसएफ ने अभ्यास के हिस्से के रूप में गहराई वाले क्षेत्रों के साथ-साथ क्रीक और 'हरामी नाला' में विशेष अभियान चलाए।

• सीमा सुरक्षा बल की स्थापना 1965 के भारत-पाकिस्तान युद्ध के बाद 1 दिसंबर 1965  को हुई थी।
• सीमा सुरक्षा बल केंद्रीय गृह मंत्रालय के अंतर्गत आता है।
•  इसे देश की 'रक्षा की पहली पंक्ति' भी कहा जाता है।

India and Egypt on 25 January signed an MoU to facilitate content exchange, capacity building, and Co-Productions between Prasar Bharati and the National Media Authority of Egypt.

Important Points:

• Information and Broadcasting Minister Anurag Singh Thakur and Foreign Minister Sameh Hassan Shoukry, Government of Egypt signed the MoU.
• The MoU was exchanged in the presence of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Egyptian President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi in New Delhi.
• Under this MoU, broadcasters of both the countries will exchange their programs on bilateral basis in different genres of sports, news, culture, entertainment and many other fields and these programs will be broadcast on their radio and television platforms.
• The validity of this MoU will be for three years.

25 जनवरी को भारत और मिस्र ने प्रसार भारती और मिस्र के राष्ट्रीय मीडिया प्राधिकरण के बीच सामग्री विनिमय, क्षमता निर्माण और सह-निर्माण की सुविधा के लिए एक समझौता ज्ञापन पर हस्ताक्षर किए।

• सूचना और प्रसारण मंत्री अनुराग सिंह ठाकुर और मिस्र सरकार के विदेश मंत्री सामेह हसन शौकरी ने समझौता ज्ञापन पर हस्ताक्षर किए।
• नई दिल्ली में प्रधान मंत्री नरेंद्र मोदी और मिस्र के राष्ट्रपति अब्देल फत्ताह अल-सिसी की उपस्थिति में समझौता ज्ञापन का आदान-प्रदान किया गया।
• इस समझौता ज्ञापन के दायरे में, दोनों देशों के प्रसारक द्विपक्षीय आधार पर विभिन्न शैलियों के खेल, समाचार, संस्कृति, मनोरंजन और कई अन्य क्षेत्रों के अपने कार्यक्रमों का आदान-प्रदान करेंगे तथा इन कार्यक्रमों को उनके रेडियो और टेलीविजन प्लेटफार्म पर प्रसारित किया जाएगा।
• इस समझौता ज्ञापन की वैधता तीन साल के लिए है।
