To deal with the menace of drones the Indian Army is training dogs and Kites to identify and destroy the drones. Hostile elements from Pakistan are sending drugs, arms and ammunition to India through drones which are creating a security problem for India. 

IMPORTANT FACTS-

• Recently on 24 November, Jammu and Kashmir Police recovered a consignment of weapons and Indian currency that were dropped by a Pakistani drone in the Samba district of Jammu.
• The Dog alerts the Army after hearing the noise of the drones and the kite is used to identify the location of the drones.
• A trained Kite named ‘Arjun’ was demonstrated during the ongoing 18th edition of the Indo-US joint training exercise "Yudh Abhyas 22" in Auli, Uttarakhand. The 18th edition of Yudh Abhyas was conducted from 14 October to 31 October 2022.

What is a Drone?

• Drones are also called pilotless aircraft or Unmanned Aerial Vehicle (UAV). It is not flown by humans but is remotely controlled by humans.
• It is equipped with infrared cameras, GPS and laser. It is used in Space, in the military, for transporting goods, for spraying insecticides for land mapping etc.

• हाल ही में 24 नवंबर को, जम्मू और कश्मीर पुलिस ने जम्मू के सांबा जिले में एक पाकिस्तानी ड्रोन द्वारा गिराए गए हथियारों और भारतीय मुद्रा की एक खेप बरामद की।
• कुत्ते ड्रोन का शोर सुनकर सेना को अलर्ट करते  है और चील का उपयोग ड्रोन के स्थान की पहचान करने के लिए किया जाता है।
•  उत्तराखंड के औली में भारत-अमेरिका संयुक्त प्रशिक्षण अभ्यास "युद्ध अभ्यास 22" के चल रहे 18वें संस्करण के दौरान 'अर्जुन' नामक एक प्रशिक्षित चील  का प्रदर्शन किया गया। युद्ध अभ्यास का 18वां संस्करण 14 अक्टूबर से 31 अक्टूबर 2022 तक आयोजित किया गया।

ड्रोन क्या है?

• ड्रोन को पायलट रहित विमान या मानव रहित हवाई वाहन (यूएवी) भी कहा जाता है।
• यह इंफ्रारेड कैमरा, जीपीएस और लेजर से लैस होते हैं। इसका उपयोग अंतरिक्ष में, सेना में, माल परिवहन के लिए, भूमि मानचित्रण, कीटनाशकों के छिड़काव आदि के लिए किया जाता है।

The Securities Exchange Board of India has approved the appointment of Sundararaman Ramamurthy as the Managing Director & Chief Executive Officer of BSE. His appointment is subject to the approval of the shareholders, BSE.

IMPORTANT FACTS-

• Ramamurthy is currently the Chief Operating Officer-India at Bank of America.
• Previously, he was associated with the National Stock Exchange of India (NSE) in various roles for nearly two decades before leaving it in October 2014.
• The top position at BSE has been vacant since July when Ashishkumar Chauhan resigned as the Managing Director & Chief Executive Officer of BSE and is at present the CEO of NSE.

Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE): 

• It was earlier known as BSE. It was set up in 1875 as ‘The Native Share & Stock Brokers' Association in Bombay (now Mumbai). It is the  first stock exchange to be set up in Asia.

Indian Defense Minister Rajnath Singh and French Minister of Armed Forces “Sebastian Lecornu”  jointly chaired the 4th India France Annual Defense Dialogue on 28 November 2022 in New Delhi.

Important Points- 

• The French Defense Minister, officially known as the Minister of the Armed Forces, made a two-day (27-28 November) visit to India to strengthen bilateral defense ties with India. This is his first official visit to India.
• On 27 November 2022, Sebastian Lecornu visited the Southern Naval Command Headquarters in Kochi and saw India's first indigenous aircraft carrier INS Vikrant.
• In 1998, the two countries entered into a strategic partnership, marking a convergence of their views on a number of international issues in addition to a close and growing bilateral relationship.
• Defense and security cooperation, space cooperation and civil nuclear cooperation are key pillars of India's strategic partnership with France.

India and France military exercise

• "Varun" was the 20th Indian and French Navy joint exercise conducted from  30 March to 3 April 2022  in the Arabian Sea.
• The 7th 'Garuda VII' exercise was conducted at Air Force Station Jodhpur from 26 October to 12 November 2022.

• 26 अक्टूबर से 12 नवंबर 2022 तक वायु सेना स्टेशन जोधपुर में 7वां 'गरुड़ VII' अभ्यास आयोजित किया गया था।

Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan attended Manipur's Sangai festival as a  chief guest on 27 November 2022 under the 'Ek Bharat Shreshtha Bharat' initiative of the Government of India. Manipur’s biggest festival Sangai is being held from 21-30 November 2022.

• Under the 'Ek Bharat Shreshtha Bharat' Manipur and Madhya Pradesh are partner states.
• The artist of Madhya Pradesh will perform the traditional dance form of Manipur.

Ek Bharat Shreshtha Bharat: 

• The Ek Bharat Shreshtha Bharat program was launched by Prime Minister Modi on 31st October 2015 on the occasion of the 140th birth anniversary of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel.
• The Ek Bharat Shreshtha Bharat programme is a unique initiative by the Government to promote the spirit of national integration and to strengthen the fabric of emotional bonds between the people of our country.
• Every State and UT in the country would be paired with another State/UT for a time period, during which they would carry out a structured engagement with one another in the spheres of language, literature, cuisine, festivals, cultural events, tourism etc.

The Union Ministry of Defense announced on 27 November 2022 that the biennial air show 14th AeroIndia-2023 will be held from 13-17 February 2023 at Yelahanka Air Force Station, Bengaluru.

• Aero India has been held in February month at Bengaluru since 1996. 
• The Aero India show is a premier global trade show which provides an opportunity for the international arms industry to showcase their products, technologies and solutions to the Indian military and decision-makers and also to engage with India’s emerging Aerospace and Defence industry.
• There are two main defence-related expositions organised by the defence ministry in India. One is the Aero India show which is for the Air Force and another is the Defence expo.
• The Defence expo 2022 was held at Gandhinagar, Gujarat in October 2022.

40 countries which included the G20 ambassadors and invited guests from friendly countries blew conch shells (Shankh), which is considered auspicious as per Indian traditions on 26 November 2022, to welcome India’s G20 Presidency at Swaraj Dweep in Andaman and Nicobar Islands.

• Swaraj Dweep was earlier known as Havelock Island.
• As part of the event, G20 India coordinator Harsh Vardhan Shringla and G20 Sherpa Amitabh Kant organized a yoga session on Kala Pathar beach for the delegates.
• Indonesian President Joko Widodo on 16 November 2022 officially handed over the G20 presidency to India at the end of a summit of the bloc’s leaders in Bali.
• G20 is a group of 19 leading developed and developing countries and the European Union. G-20 members constitute 60% of the world population, 80% of the World economy and 75% of world trade.

Andaman and Nicobar Islands and Subhash Chandra Bose:

• Azad Hind Fauj was established on October 21, 1943 by Subhash Chandra Bose.
• On December 30, 1943, Subhash Chandra Bose unfurled the tricolour for the first time at the , Port Blair.
• On this occasion, the Prime Minister announced the renaming of three islands of Andaman and Nicobar, which are as follows:

अंडमान और निकोबार द्वीप और सुभाष चंद्र बोस: 

• सुभाष चंद्र बोस द्वाराआजाद हिंद फ़ौज की स्थापना 21 अक्टूबर, 1943 को की गई थी।
• 30 दिसंबर, 1943 को सुभाष चंद्र बोस ने पहली बार , पोर्ट ब्लेयर में तिरंगा फहराया था।
• इस अवसर पर प्रधानमंत्री ने अंडमान और निकोबार के तीन द्वीपों के नाम बदलने की घोषणा की थी, जो निम्न प्रकार से है:

In November 2022, the Central Government has constituted a committee under the chairmanship of Amarjeet Sinha; This committee will focus on improving the MNREGA scheme.

Important Points:

• This committee will review the demand for work in MNREGA, the pattern of expenditure, the difference in demand in different states and the increased cost of providing employment since the inception of the scheme.
• This committee will suggest what changes can be made to make the MNREGA scheme more effective.
• The committee has to submit recommendations for better implementation of MNREGA scheme in poor areas.
• This scheme was brought to eradicate poverty in rural areas, but where the level of poverty is high, the proper benefits of this scheme have not been received.

नवंबर 2022 में केंद्र सरकार ने अमरजीत सिन्हा की अध्यक्षता में एक समिति का गठन किया है; यह समिति मनरेगा योजना में सुधार पर केन्द्रित होगी l

• यह समिति सुझाव देगी कि मनरेगा योजना को अधिक प्रभावशाली बनाने के लिए क्या बदलाव किए जा सकते हैं।
• समिति को गरीब इलाकों में मनरेगा योजना को बेहतर तरीके से लागू करने की सिफारिशें सौंपनी है।
• इस योजना को ग्रामीण इलाकों में गरीबी उन्मूलन के लिए लाया गया था, लेकिन जहां  गरीबी का स्तर ज्यादा है, वहां इस योजना का उचित लाभ नहीं मिल पाया है।

Indian External Affairs Minister S. Jaishankar met the visiting foreign minister of the United Arab Emirates (UAE)  Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan in New Delhi on 22 November 2022.

IMPORTANT FACTS-

• Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan is on two days (21 and 22 November) visit to India.
• Both leaders discussed bilateral and regional and global issues. The meeting was also attended by Foreign Secretary Vinay Kwatra and UAE Minister of State for International Cooperation, Reem Al Hashimy.
• Prime Minister Narendra Modi visited the UAE on June 28 and met Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan. Jaishankar visited the UAE from October 31- September 2 to co-chair a Joint Commission Meeting and the Strategic Dialogue with Sheikh Abdullah.
• The UAE is a key energy supplier and one of India’s most important strategic partners in West Asia. The UAE is also home to more than three million Indians, one of the largest concentrations of expatriates in the region.

Indian defence minister Rajnath Singh arrived in Siem Reap, Cambodia on 21 November 2022 to co-chair the India-ASEAN Defense Ministers' Meeting and participate in the 9th ASEAN Defense Ministers' Meeting Plus (ADMMPlus) for the first time.

This year, India and Cambodia are celebrating 70 years of diplomatic ties. 

IMPORTANT FACTS-

• On 22 November Rajnath Singh along with the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of National Defence of Cambodia General TEA Banh co-chaired the first India-ASEAN Defence Ministers’ Meeting to commemorate the 30 years of ASEAN-India Dialogue Relations.
• Also the year 2022 is being celebrated as the ASEAN-India Friendship Year to commemorate the 30 years of ASEAN-India Dialogue Relations.
• He will also attend the 9th ASEAN Defence Ministers’ Meeting Plus (ADMM Plus) to be held on 23 November 2022. 
• Cambodia is the current chairman of the ASEAN (Association of South East Nation) and all ASEAN-related summits and conferences are hosted by it. Both the 9th ASEAN Defence Ministers’ Meeting Plus (ADMM Plus) and India-ASEAN Defence Ministers’ Meeting will be held at Siem Reap, Cambodia. Siam Reap is the second largest city of Cambodia after its capital Phnom Penh.

Angkor Wat: 

• Siem Reap province of Cambodia is home to Angkor Wat. It is a world heritage site and is the world's largest religious structure, covering some 400 acres. It is dedicated to Hindu gods and goddesses.

ASEAN Defence Ministers’ Meeting Plus (ADMM Plus): 

• The ADMM-Plus is a platform for ASEAN and its eight Dialogue Partners Australia, China, India, Japan, New Zealand, the Republic of Korea, Russia and the United States (collectively referred to as the "Plus Countries"), to strengthen security and defence cooperation for peace, stability, and development in the region. 
• The first ADMM-Plus was convened in Hanoi, Vietnam, on 12 October 2010.

Reigning Formula One (F1) world champion Max Verstappen of the Red Bull team won the season-ending F1 Abu Dhabi race held on 20 November 2022 in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates. It was his record 15th title of the 2022 season.

• He also ended the 2022 season as the world F1 champion. He won his first F1 world championship title in 2021.
• The 25-year-old Max Verstappen of Holland created a number of records in the history of F1. 
• Some of his records are as follows ;
• Verstappen holds the record for being the youngest points-scorer and youngest race winner in F1.

The Indian ReNew Power Private Limited company, has signed an agreement with the Egyptian government to set up a green hydrogen manufacturing facility at the Suez Canal Economic Zone in Egypt on 15 November 2022. The company will invest $8 billion in the project in phases.

IMPORTANT FACTS-

• Green Hydrogen refers to the breaking down of the water molecule into hydrogen and oxygen using renewable sources of energy.
• ReNew Power has partnered with Elsewedy Electric S.A.E. (Elsewedy) for this project. Elsewedy is a leading integrated energy solutions provider in the Middle East and Africa, which will be the local co-developer for the project.

Highlights of the project:  

• According to the agreement, ReNew will set up a plant with a capacity to produce 20,000 tonne green hydrogen a year, which will later be raised to 220,000 tonnes, by relying on renewable energy sources.  
• The project is scheduled to be implemented in phases, the first of which will be a pilot to produce 20,000 tonne green hydrogen, through a 150 MW electrolyzer equipped with 570 MW of renewable energy to produce 100,000 tons of green ammonia annually.

What is Green Hydrogen, Brown Hydrogen, Blue Hydrogen: 

• Hydrogen is the first and the smallest element in the periodic table.
• Depending upon the production method the colour of the hydrogen can be Green, Brown, Blue or Grey.    

Green Hydrogen:  

• It refers to the breaking down of the water molecule into hydrogen and oxygen using renewable sources of energy. Renewable source of energy means which can be used again and again like solar power, hydel, wind energy etc. It contains no carbon which is responsible for global warming.

Grey  Hydrogen:  

• Grey hydrogen is created from natural gas, or methane, using steam methane reformation. It produces Hydrogen and Carbon dioxide which is released in the atmosphere.

Blue Hydrogen:  

• Blue hydrogen is produced mainly from natural gas, using a process called steam reforming, which brings together natural gas and heated water in the form of steam.  It produces hydrogen and carbon dioxide.  

Black and Brown Hydrogen:  

• When black coal or lignite (brown coal) is used in the hydrogen-making process it is called as black or brown coal.

ग्रीन हाइड्रोजन, ब्राउन हाइड्रोजन, ब्लू हाइड्रोजन क्या है?

• आवर्त सारणी में हाइड्रोजन  प्रथम और सबसे छोटा तत्व है।
• उत्पादन विधि के आधार पर हाइड्रोजन का रंग हरा, भूरा, नीला या ग्रे हो सकता है।

हरित हाइड्रोजन:  

• यह ऊर्जा के नवीकरणीय स्रोतों का उपयोग करके जल के अणु को  हाइड्रोजन और ऑक्सीजन में  तोड़ देता है। ऊर्जा के नवीकरणीय स्रोत का अर्थ है जिसका बार-बार उपयोग किया जा सकता है जैसे सौर ऊर्जा, जलविद्युत, पवन ऊर्जा आदि। इसमें कोई कार्बन नहीं है जो वैश्विक तापन (ग्लोबल वार्मिंग) के लिए जिम्मेवार  माना जाता है।

ग्रे हाइड्रोजन: 

• भाप मीथेन सुधार प्रक्रिया (स्टीम मीथेन रिफॉर्मेशन) का उपयोग करके ग्रे हाइड्रोजन प्राकृतिक गैस, या मीथेन से बनाया जाता है। यह हाइड्रोजन और कार्बन डाइऑक्साइड उत्पन्न करता है जिसे वायुमंडल में छोड़ा जाता है।

नीला हाइड्रोजन: 

• ब्लू हाइड्रोजन मुख्य रूप से प्राकृतिक गैस से उत्पन्न होता है, स्टीम रिफॉर्मिंग नामक एक प्रक्रिया का उपयोग करके, जो भाप के रूप में प्राकृतिक गैस और गर्म जल को एक साथ लाता है। यह हाइड्रोजन और कार्बन डाइऑक्साइड उत्पन्न  करता है। 

काला और ब्राउन (भूरा) हाइड्रोजन: 

• जब हाइड्रोजन बनाने की प्रक्रिया में काला कोयला या लिग्नाइट (भूरा कोयला) का उपयोग किया जाता है तो इसे ब्लैक या भूरा हाइड्रोजन कहा जाता है।

रिन्यू कंपनी: 

•  रिन्यू कंपनी वैश्विक स्तर पर सबसे बड़े नवीकरणीय ऊर्जा  उत्पादकों में से एक है। रिन्यू यूटिलिटी-स्केल पवन ऊर्जा, सौर ऊर्जा और जलविद्युत परियोजनाओं का विकास, निर्माण, स्वामित्व और संचालन करता है।

According to a report by the National Association of Software and Services Companies (NASSCOM) and Arthur D Little, the adoption of 5G network technology in India is expected to contribute about 2% to India’s GDP amounting to $180 billion by 2030.

IMPORTANT FACTS-

• The report titled 5G – Unfolding India's Era of Digital Convergence says that increasing market penetration, sectoral reforms, improvement in user experience, speedy rollout of services, among others, will contribute to the growth.
• Currently, India has 1.1 billion telecom users, which is the second highest in the world after China. Of this, 740 million are 4G users, and they are expected to shift to 5G.
• The report says that the government’s National Optical Fibre Network plan which aims to connect all the 2.5 lakh gram panchayats in the country will help enhance India’s potential for 5G adoption.

Sector to lead 5G adoption:

• Among the key sectors, energy and utilities will be the key driver of 5G contributing about 30% of the expected $180-billion potential, followed by retail at 20%, healthcare at 15% and manufacturing sector at 10%. 
• According to the report, adoption of 5G smart metering, smart grid opportunities will boost the usage of 5G in the energy and utilities sector.
• In healthcare, the penetration is expected to come from online consultation, robotic surgeries, cloud-based patient profiling, and wearables. 
• Digital transformation and smart factories are expected to drive 5G penetration in the manufacturing sector.

5G Launch In India:  

• The 5th Generation mobile technology was officially launched by Prime Minister on 1 October 2022.
• Airtel was the first company to launch the service in India.

भारत में 5जी

The Union Minister of Steel and Civil Aviation Jyotiraditya Scindia inaugurated the “Conference of Ministers of Industry/Mines/Steel of State Governments” in New Delhi on 15 November 2022.

• The Conference has been organized by the Union Ministry of Steel.
• Speaking on the occasion the minister said that India has made remarkable progress in the steel sector in the last 8 years.
• He said that the country which was earlier a net importer of steel has now become a net exporter and is also the second largest producer of steel in the world after China.
• On 28 October 2022 the Prime Minister while inaugurating the ArcelorMittal  Nippon steel plant in Hazira had said that the government intends to double the production of crude steel to 300 million tonnes per annum in the next 9 to 10 years.
• Chairpersons/CMDs of PSUs under Ministry of Steel, representatives from the State Governments of Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka, Chhattisgarh, Gujarat, West Bengal, Goa participated in the Conference.

• इस अवसर पर बोलते हुए मंत्री ने कहा कि भारत ने पिछले 8 वर्षों में इस्पात क्षेत्र में उल्लेखनीय प्रगति की है। उन्होंने कहा कि जो देश पहले स्टील का शुद्ध आयातक था, वह अब शुद्ध निर्यातक बन गया है और चीन के बाद दुनिया में स्टील का दूसरा सबसे बड़ा उत्पादक भी है।
• 28 अक्टूबर 2022 को प्रधान मंत्री नेहजीरा में आर्सेलर मित्तल निप्पॉन स्टील प्लांटका उद्घाटन करते हुए कहा था कि सरकार अगले 9 से 10 वर्षों में कच्चे स्टील के उत्पादन को 300 मिलियन टन प्रति वर्ष करने का इरादा रखती है।

• The top five US technology companies by revenue have lost nearly $4 trillion in market value this year. 
• In October 2022, Amazon projected the slowest revenue growth for a holiday quarter in the company’s history as shoppers reduce their spending in the face of economic uncertainty. That sent its market value below $1 trillion for the first time.

What is Market capitalization or M-cap: 

• Market capitalisation refers to the total number of free-floating shares of  a company in the market multiplied by the current market  price of each share.

Types of Market capitalization:  

• In India on the basis of market  capitalization companies are classified into Large Cap,Mid-Cap and Small Cap. Here cap means capitalisation.
• Publicly listed companies which have a market capitalization of Rs 20,000 crore or more are called as Large Cap companies.
• Mid-Cap: Publicly listed companies which have a market capitalization of less than Rs 20,000 crores and up to Rs 5000 crore.
• Small Cap: Publicly listed companies which have a market capitalization of less than Rs 5,000 crores.

बाजार पूंजीकरण या एम-कैप क्या है?

• बाजार पूंजीकरण ज्ञात करने   के लिए  किसी कंपनी के फ्री फ्लोटिंग शेयरों की कुल संख्या को प्रत्येक शेयर के मौजूदा बाजार मूल्य से गुणा किया जाता है।

बाजार पूंजीकरण के प्रकार:

• भारत में बाजार पूंजीकरण के आधार पर कंपनियों को लार्ज कैप, मिड कैप और स्मॉल कैप में वर्गीकृत किया जाता है। यहाँ कैप का अर्थ पूंजीकरण है।
• सार्वजनिक रूप से सूचीबद्ध कंपनियां जिनका बाजार पूंजीकरण 20,000 करोड़ रुपये या उससे अधिक है, उन्हें लार्ज कैप कंपनियां कहा जाता है।

The Union Finance Ministry has authorized the release of Rs 13,000 crore for the implementation of the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojna-Gramin (PMAY-G) programme. 

Important Points -

• Under the PMAY-G scheme, the government provides financial assistance of Rs 1.20 lakhs per beneficiary for the construction of houses in rural areas in plain areas
• The assistance amount is Rs 1.30 lakhs per beneficiary in the North East and Hilly areas.

Center and the State's contribution -

केंद्रीय वित्त मंत्रालय ने  प्रधानमंत्री आवास योजना-ग्रामीण (पीएमएवाई-जी)  कार्यक्रम  के कार्यान्वयन के लिए  13,000 करोड़ रुपये  जारी करने को अधिकृत किया है।

महत्वपूर्ण बिंदु -

• PMAY-G योजना के तहत, सरकार  ग्रामीण क्षेत्रों में  मैदानी क्षेत्रों में घरों के निर्माण के लिए प्रति लाभार्थी 1.20 लाख रुपये  की वित्तीय सहायता प्रदान करती है।
• उत्तर पूर्व और पहाड़ी क्षेत्रों में प्रति लाभार्थी सहायता राशि 1.30 लाख रुपये है।

The 18th edition (not the 20th edition) of the Indo-US joint training exercise "Yudh Abhyas 22" was being held at ‘Auli’ in Uttarakhand from November 16, 2022.

IMPORTANT FACTS-

• The 'Yudh Abhyas' between India and the US is held annually with the aim of exchanging best practices, strategies, techniques and procedures between the armies of the two countries.
• The previous edition of this exercise was conducted in October 2021 at Joint Base Elmendorf  Richardson, Alaska (USA).
• A US Army soldier from the 2nd Brigade of the 11th Airborne Division and an Indian Army soldier from the Assam Regiment was participate in the exercise.
• The training program wascover all functions related to peacekeeping and peace enforcement.
• Soldiers of both countries will work together to achieve common objectives. The joint exercise will also focus on Humanitarian Assistance and Disaster Relief (HADR) operations.
• Troops of both the countries was practice launching quick and coordinated relief efforts in the wake of any natural calamity.
• The exercise was started in 2004 under the US Army Pacific Partnership Program.

महत्वपूर्ण तथ्य: 

• दोनों देशों की सेनाओं के बीच सर्वोत्तम प्रथाओं, रणनीति, तकनीकों और प्रक्रियाओं का आदान-प्रदान करने के उद्देश्य से भारत और अमेरिका के बीच 'अभ्यास युद्ध' प्रतिवर्ष आयोजित किया जाता है।
• इस अभ्यास का पिछला संस्करण अक्टूबर 2021 में संयुक्त बेस एल्मडॉर्फ रिचर्डसन, अलास्का (यूएसए) में आयोजित किया गया था।
• अभ्यास में 11वीं एयरबोर्न डिवीजन की दूसरी ब्रिगेड के अमेरिकी सेना के जवान और असम रेजीमेंट के भारतीय सेना के जवानों ने  हिस्सा लिया।
• प्रशिक्षण कार्यक्रम में शांति व्यवस्था और शांति प्रवर्तन से संबंधित सभी कार्य शामिल थे।
• दोनों देशों के सैनिकों ने  समान उद्देश्यों को प्राप्त करने के लिए मिलकर काम किया। संयुक्त अभ्यास मानवीय सहायता और आपदा राहत (एचएडीआर) संचालन पर भी ध्यान केंद्रित करेगा।
• दोनों देशों के सैनिक किसी भी प्राकृतिक आपदा के मद्देनजर त्वरित और समन्वित राहत प्रयास शुरू करने का अभ्यास करेंगे।
• यह अभ्यास 2004 में यूएस आर्मी पैसिफिक पार्टनरशिप प्रोग्राम के तहत शुरू किया गया था।
