The staff selection commission conducts an open competitive examination for recruitment of Group ‘B’ Non-Gazetted posts of Junior Hindi Translator, Junior Translator and Senior Hindi Translator for various Ministers/ Departments/ Organizations in the government of India.

JUNIOR HINDI TRANSLATOR HOW TO APPLY:

  1. Visit the official website of the commission i.e. Click Here 
  2. Now, click on “apply online”
  3. Register yourself with required details.
  4. After registration your required details will be sent on your registered email address.
  5. Log in with your registered ID or password in the official portal.
  6. Click on apply and fill your details carefully.
  7. Upload your required documents in required format and size.
  8. Pay your application fee through Net banking.
  9. Fee details according to your category is given below:

ADMIT CARD OR HALL TICKET

Before 10 or 15 days of the examination your admit card will be uploaded on the official website of the commission. You can download your Admit Card by following these steps:

  1. Go to the official website i,e. Click Here 

  2. Now, click the exam admit card.

  3. Now, enter your registration details such as your registration ID and Password.

  4. Your admit card appears on the screen.

  5. Now download your admit card and take the printout for the further process.

(Note: Admit card or hall ticket is the most important document for your examination in which all required details such as your name, date of birth, photo, registration details, name of your center, date of your examination and reporting time of your examination are mentioned).

Age

Candidates must be between 18 to 30 years of age and relaxation in age will be given as per the government rule. Read the tabulated chart for more information on age relaxation:

Nationality

Candidates must be an Indian citizen or subject of Nepal and Bhutan. Refugees of Tibetan origin can also apply for the same. Those who have migrated here to be permanent citizens of India can also apply for SSC JHT examination.

JUNIOR HINDI TRANSLATOR EXAMINATION PATTERN:

Examination consists of  2 papers out of which Paper 1 is conducted in online mode while Paper 2 is to be conducted in paper and paper mode.

Note: The Paper 1 examination will be objective in nature and computer based exam . Examination will be conducted both in Hindi and English.1 mark is to be rewarded for every right answer and 0.25 marks will be deducted for every wrong answer.

Paper 2

Paper 2 will be subjective in nature which means it will be a pen & paper based exam. Questions will be set in both languages i.e.English and Hindi.

SYLLABUS:

Paper-I 

Computer Based Examination

Paper 1 will be a computer-based examination in which the questions will be designed to test the candidates’ understanding of the languages and literature, correct use of words, phrases and idioms and ability to write the languages correctly, precisely and effectively. The questions will be of degree level. 

Paper-II 

Translation and Essay

Paper 2 will contain two passages for translation - one passage for translation from Hindi to English and one passage for translation from English to Hindi, and an Essay each in Hindi and English, to test the candidates‟ translation skills and their ability to write as well as comprehend the two languages correctly, precisely and effectively. The level of the paper will be consistent with the educational qualifications prescribed.
