Indian Foreign Minister Dr. S. Jaishankar completed an official visit to three countries (Bangladesh, Sweden and Belgium) from 11 to 16 May 2023.

Important Points:-

• During his official visit, Jaishankar held talks on ways to further strengthen India's engagement with the three countries under bilateral and multilateral frameworks.
• Jaishankar traveled to Dhaka on 11 and 12 May in the first leg of his visit.
• In the second leg of the visit, visited Sweden from 13 to 15 May.
• On the last leg of his three-nation tour, he visited Belgium on 15 and 16 May.
• The objective of the meeting is to discuss bilateral relations, strengthen diplomatic ties, explore opportunities for cooperation between India and Sweden in defense and foreign affairs, etc.

भारतीय विदेश मंत्री डॉ. एस जयशंकर 11 से 16 मई 2023 तक तीन देशों (बांग्लादेश, स्वीडन और बेल्जियम) की अधिकारिक यात्रा संपन्न किए।

• अपनी इस अधिकारिक यात्रा के दौरान जयशंकर द्विपक्षीय और बहुपक्षीय ढांचे के तहत तीनों देशों के साथ भारत के जुड़ाव को और मजबूत करने के तरीकों पर वार्ता आयोजित किए। 
• जयशंकर अपनी यात्रा के पहले चरण में 11 और 12 मई को ढाका की यात्रा किया।

• तीन देशों की अपनी यात्रा के अंतिम चरण 15 और 16 मई में वे बेल्जियम की यात्रा किया।

• The India Pavilion is being conceptualised and designed by National Institute of Design, Ahmedabad with the theme -‘Showcasing India’s Creative Economy’ to the global community. 
• Four Indian films, including Kanu Behl’s Agra and Anurag Kashyap’s Kennedy, have made it to the official selection in the Cannes Film Festival. 
• Apart from these, many Indian films will be screened in Marche du Films. 
• A Manipuri film ‘Ishanhou’ will be showcased in the ‘Classics’ section.

Union Minister of Health and Family Welfare, Dr Mansukh Mandaviya addressed the G7 Health Ministerial meeting on Global Health Architecture in Nagasaki, Japan on 13th May.

Important Points:

• The meeting was organized to discuss the global health challenges and ways to ensure preparedness, prevention and response to future health emergencies.
• The health ministers of the G7 countries and the "Outreach 4" countries of India, Indonesia, Vietnam and Thailand were invited to the meeting.

Objectives of the meeting 

• To foster collaboration and exchange ideas on health innovation.
• Addressing global health challenges, and promoting advancements in healthcare research, technology, and policies.

About G7

• The G7 is a group of seven major industrialized countries, including Canada, France, Germany, Italy, Japan, the United Kingdom, and the United States.
• The G7 holds annual meetings to discuss various global issues, but these meetings are usually held in different locations each year.
• The 48th G7 summit was hosted by Germany in 2022.

केंद्रीय स्वास्थ्य और परिवार कल्याण मंत्री, डॉ. मनसुख मंडाविया ने 13 मई 2023 को जापान के नागासाकी में ग्लोबल हेल्थ आर्किटेक्चर पर G7 स्वास्थ्य मंत्रिस्तरीय बैठक को संबोधित किया।

महत्वपूर्ण बिंदु:- 

• बैठक वैश्विक स्वास्थ्य चुनौतियों और भविष्य की स्वास्थ्य आपात स्थितियों के लिए तैयारी, रोकथाम और प्रतिक्रिया सुनिश्चित करने के तरीकों पर चर्चा करने के लिए आयोजित की गई थी।
• बैठक में G7 देशों के स्वास्थ्य मंत्री और भारत, इंडोनेशिया, वियतनाम और थाईलैंड के "आउटरीच 4" देशों को आमंत्रित किया गया था।

बैठक के उद्देश्य

• स्वास्थ्य नवाचार पर सहयोग और विचारों का आदान-प्रदान।
• वैश्विक स्वास्थ्य चुनौतियों को संबोधित करना, और स्वास्थ्य सेवा अनुसंधान, प्रौद्योगिकी और नीतियों में प्रगति को बढ़ावा देना।

G7 के बारे में 

• G7 कनाडा, फ्रांस, जर्मनी, इटली, जापान, यूनाइटेड किंगडम और संयुक्त राज्य अमेरिका सहित सात प्रमुख औद्योगिक देशों का एक समूह है।
• G7 विभिन्न वैश्विक मुद्दों पर चर्चा करने के लिए वार्षिक बैठकें आयोजित करता है, लेकिन ये बैठकें आमतौर पर प्रत्येक वर्ष विभिन्न स्थानों पर आयोजित की जाती हैं।

INS Kavaratti, indigenously designed & built ASW Corvette, arrived at Batam, Indonesia to participate in the 4th edition of India-Indonesia Bilateral exercise Samudra Shakti-23 from 14-19 May 23. 

Important Points:

• An Indian Navy Dornier maritime patrol aircraft and Chetak helicopter are also participating in the exercise.
• The Indonesian Navy is represented by KRI Sultan Iskandar Muda, CN 235 Maritime Patrol Aircraft and AS565 Panther helicopters.
• Samudra Shakti-23 will showcase the high degree of interoperability between the two navies and their shared commitment to peace and stability in the region.

About exercise 'Samudra Shakti'

• Samudra Shakti is a joint naval exercise conducted between the Indian Navy and the Indonesian Navy.
• Objective of the exercise: The primary objective of the exercise is to enhance the interoperability and mutual understanding between the two navies.

About INS Kavaratti

• INS Kavaratti is a stealth corvette that belongs to the Indian Navy.
• Design and capabilities: INS Kavaratti has been specially designed for anti-submarine warfare operations. 
• It is equipped with advanced sensors and weapons systems that make it highly capable in detecting and neutralizing submarines.

आईएनएस कवारत्ती, स्वदेशी रूप से डिजाइन और निर्मित ASW कॉर्वेट, 14-19 मई 2023 से भारत-इंडोनेशिया द्विपक्षीय अभ्यास समुद्र शक्ति -23 के चौथे संस्करण में भाग लेने के लिए बाटम, इंडोनेशिया पहुंचा।

• अभ्यास में एक भारतीय नौसेना डोर्नियर समुद्री गश्ती विमान और चेतक हेलीकॉप्टर भी भाग ले रहे हैं। 
• इंडोनेशियाई नौसेना का प्रतिनिधित्व KRI सुल्तान इस्कंदर मुदा, CN 235 मैरीटाइम पेट्रोल एयरक्राफ्ट और AS565 पैंथर हेलीकॉप्टर द्वारा किया जा रहा है।

Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami inaugurated the National Homeopathic Convention 'Homeocon 2023' at Doon University, Dehradun and launched a documentary on Homeopathy.
