President Draupadi Murmu attended the 2nd Indian Rice Congress at the National Institute of Rice Research (ICAR) in Cuttack, Odisha, on February 11.

• President Draupadi Murmu underlined the importance of bio-fortified rice as rice is the only source of nutrition for a large number of poor people.

For the first time in the country, reserves of 59 lakh tonnes of lithium have been found in the Reasi district of the Jammu division.

• The Geological Survey of India has discovered lithium deposits in the Salal-Haimana area of the Reasi district in Jammu and Kashmir.
• Currently, India is dependent on imports of Lithium, Nickel, and Cobalt. 
• After this discovery, India has become the third country in the world after Chileand Australiato have reserves of Lithium Ion.
• A report on 51 mineral blocks including Lithium and Gold was submitted to the State Governments during the 62nd Central Geological Programming Board (CGPB) meeting.
• Out of these 51 mineral blocks, 5 blocks are related to gold and other blocks are related to potash, molybdenum, and base metals.

Indian Space Research Organization has launched its smallest rocket SSLV-D2 into space from Satish Dhawan Space Center (Sriharikota).

Important Points :

• ISRO's SSLV-D2 flew into space carrying three satellites with it.
• These include ISRO's satellite EOS-07, Chennai-based space startup Spacekidz's satellite Azad SAT-2 and American company Antaris's satellite JANUS 1.
• All these three satellites will be placed in a circular orbit 450 km apart.
• ISRO's smallest new rocket SSLV-D2 works on the technology of launch on demand.
• It has the capability to cater to the launch of 500 kg satellites into low earth orbits.

'Quad Cyber Challenge's main objective is to strengthen the cyber security system in the Indo-Pacific region. Hence option 1 is correct.

The Quad countries invited Internet users from the Indo-Pacific and surrounding regions to participate. Hence option 2 is correct.

• With the help of 'The Quad Cyber Challenge', the four countriesUS, Japan, Australia, and Indiawill jointly make efforts to improve cyber security.
• The National Cyber Coordination Office along with the National Security Council Secretariat is coordinating the Quad Cyber Challenge on behalf of India.
• The Quad countries have invited internet users from the Indo-Pacific and surrounding regions to participate in this cyber challenge.
• The 2022 Quad summit was held in Japan and the next one will be held in Australia in 2023.

MobiKwik becomes the first fintech app to support RuPay Credit Card on UPI.

• With RuPay credit cards now linked directly to UPI IDs, MobiKwik customers can easily make payments at merchants by scanning the UPI QR code and using the UPI PIN for payment authentication.

• The integration of RuPay Credit Card with UPI is in line with the vision of the National Payments Corporation of India (NPCI) and RBI.

मोबिक्विक (Mobikwik) यूपीआई पर RuPay क्रेडिट कार्ड को सपोर्ट करने वाला भारत का पहला फिनटेक ऐप बन गया है।

• RuPay क्रेडिट कार्ड अब सीधे यूपीआई आईडी से जुड़ गए हैं, MobiKwik ग्राहक यूपीआई क्यूआर कोड को स्कैन करके और भुगतान प्रमाणीकरण के लिए UPI पिन का उपयोग करके आसानी से भुगतान कर सकते हैं।
• यूपीआई के साथ RuPay क्रेडिट कार्ड का एकीकरण भारत के राष्ट्रीय भुगतान निगम (NPCI) और आरबीआई के दृष्टिकोण के अनुरूप है। 
• यूनिफाइड पेमेंट्स इंटरफेस (UPI) एक सिंगल प्लेटफॉर्म है जो विभिन्न बैंकिंग सेवाओं और सुविधाओं को एक एक जगह  एकीकृत करता है।

Rural Development and Panchayati Raj Minister Giriraj Singh inaugurated the Mission Antyodaya Survey (MAS) 2022-23 in New Delhi on 9 February. 

Important Points:

• The Rural Development Department is conducting the Mission Antyodaya survey in all the Gram Panchayats of the country from 2017-18.
• A survey will be done in all the 2,69,253 Gram Panchayats whose profiles have been created on e-Gram Swaraj.
• Mission Antyodaya Survekshan 2022-23 aims to conduct an annual survey at the Gram Panchayat level to monitor the progress of the development process in rural areas.

ग्रामीण विकास और पंचायती राज मंत्री गिरिराज सिंह ने 9 फरवरी को नई दिल्ली में मिशन अंत्योदय सर्वेक्षण (एमएएस) 2022-23 का शुभारंभ किया।

महत्वपूर्ण बिंदु-

• ग्रामीण विकास विभाग 2017-18 से देश की सभी ग्राम पंचायतों में मिशन अंत्योदय सर्वेक्षण कर रहा है।
• ई-ग्राम स्वराज पर जिन 2,69,253 ग्राम पंचायतों की प्रोफाइल बनाई गई है, उन सभी में सर्वेक्षण किया जाएगा।
• मिशन अंत्योदय सर्वेक्षण 2022-23 का उद्देश्य ग्रामीण क्षेत्रों में विकास प्रक्रिया की प्रगति की निगरानी के लिए ग्राम पंचायत स्तर पर एक वार्षिक सर्वेक्षण आयोजित करना। 

A two-day Urban-20 City Sherpas’ meet began on 9 February in Ahmedabad.

Important Points:

• More than 30 international cities are participating in this two-day event to discuss the sustainable development of U20 cities.
• Following the meeting, a draft communique will be finalized which will be issued during the Mayor's Summit later this year.
• The meeting is being organized by the Union Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs and the Ahmedabad Municipal Corporation.
• This is the third meeting to be held in Gujarat as part of India's chairmanship of the G20.

अर्बन-20 सिटी शेरपाओं की बैठक का आयोजन  9 - 10 फरवरी 2023 को अहमदाबाद में किया गया ।

• शहरों के सतत विकास पर चर्चा करने के लिए इस दो दिवसीय आयोजन में 30 से अधिक अंतर्राष्ट्रीय स्तर के शहरी अधिकारियो ने  इसमें भाग लिया।
• बैठक के बाद, एक मसौदा विज्ञप्ति को अंतिम रूप दिया जाएगा जो इस वर्ष के अंत में महापौर शिखर सम्मेलन के दौरान जारी किया जाएगा।
• बैठक का आयोजन केंद्रीय आवास और शहरी मामलों के मंत्रालय और अहमदाबाद नगर निगम द्वारा किया गया।
• यह G20 की भारत की अध्यक्षता के हिस्से के रूप में गुजरात में आयोजित होने वाली  तीसरी  बैठक है।
